Who was the Elder Yasuo was protecting?

Can we get, if we already don't have, more information on this or more lore? I mean Riot just expanded Ionia without touching at all upon Yasuo's lore. Why would the most powerful swordsman in the land be protecting an elder instead of being out in battle? Yes i know he took a small position to humble himself, but when war is at your door knocking, you don't let the strongest warrior you have sit in a hut protecting some old guy. Was the Elder a sage? was he of any value? Why was he the only one Yasuo needed to protect? Does Yasuo have a master? Wouldn't his master be able to tell Yasuo's wind technique apart form another person's, hence why he is the master....So many questions..

Samurai were hired to protect someone in most cases or something so it may have been a rich old dude who was of importance to someone who hired yasuo the strongest warrior only to himself but what do i know

Probably the elder was the elder dragon, thats why it looks like a ghost dragon!!

Jokes aside, Riot seems to be waiting for something to add to Yasuo's lore, maybe even the Noxus update, to finally add Riven to his story, as both are quite stale right now, but at least Yasuo got interactions with Taliyah.

The elder was probably from a council, or maybe even a powerful mage, considering how Ionia is related to magic, but if he was that strong, he probably wouldn't have needed that much protection. Him being a low politician of some kind in Ionia would be a right fit for Yasuo, that was looking for a humble job, but doesn't matter if he was known or unknown, Yasuo abandoned his duties and left his new master to be killed, or could even have killed it himself, so that was more than enough to try to punish him, even more knowing that he probably followed something similar to the samurai code, that means that losing its master meant great dishonor (and taking your own life if i don't recall wrong, but I might be)

Probably Yasuo learned his wind technique from scrolls, like Zed's Shadow Technique, but doesn't really matter if he had a wind master or not, the wounds were made with wind, and its quite hard to tell apart if it was Yasuo's or another's.

I guess wars aren't won by the strongest warrior, but by numbers and other tactics. It's wise to put a strong warrior to guard one single person :P

I dont know man, as far as I remember MasterYi was in the battle against Noxus.

OH wait! you are talking about the guy without swordboots...

Well, the Elders of Ionia are Important political figures, the leaders of Ionia, like some kind of president (but there are more than 1)... So, if Noxus wants to take over Ionia, they must kill the Elders first.

So, Yasuo was some kind of "bodyguard" of a President... and he left his job.
