Thoughts on the Piltie in Ekko's comic?

If he was just defending himself against a mugging, he's pure of heart and we can move on. But... If the guy is so pure hearted, then why is he whistling a tune 2-3 minutes after he shot a little kid? Why didn't he get medical attention or yell out for help during the supposed mugging or after he shot the kid? Was he really mugged, or was the kid begging for food and the guy had to snuff out his life? Why is he walking in the same direction he shot the kid (Ekko's running direction) if he's walking away back towards safety and home, looking for another to kill perhaps? My thought is that he's just an arrogant jerk that shot a kid because he felt like he was removing Zaunite filth from the world. I'm glad Ekko made that choice, but I hope he tracks down the man in the (never coming) next chapter. Your thoughts/analyzes below please. And thanks for reading, have a great day (>^__^)>

Yeah,I also think that the guy was simply a jerk. Notice how Ajuna said that he didn't even see the guy?He said he only heard him whistling,so he most likely was shot without even knowing that the guy was there.

I think he might have seen Ajuna stealing food and then shot him,or he might have thought that ajuna heard/saw something about him that he didn't want anyone to know(I mean the piltovian had most likely some fishy business going on there, why else would he go to zaun?)

A man having a gun to protect himself, sounds so American if you ask me.

Well, he isn't defending himself. He's a bad person. That's sorta the point (yay, finally some moral greyness!) trying to be made here. Zaun isn't all evil, and Piltover isn't all good.

Hopefully the lore clears this up so i can stop hearing jokes of ekko being a black kid who loves street/gang violence.

After rereading I'm more convinced he was bad because as soon as he got suspicious about what Ekko saw he tried to shoot him. Why would a man defending himself worry about the truth of the situation coming out?

My question is what is someone from Piltover doing in Zuan to begin with, especially given the conflict the two factions have against each other?

didn't ekko kill him in the comic?

At first glance, people consider him innocent and the kid a thief. Riot on the other hand seem intent on saying he's not a nice guy, so he probably had ulterior motives.

u are putting your own views on what is "suppose" to happen in an emergency like this.... with little lore we can only assume but...

this time period is full of magic and wonders but there is suffering and strife.... people die, people are mugged and killed in the street, might is right, and justice is blind ya?

how do you know what he thinks, what he feels, there is no indication in that besides his comments that are saying he (ekko) dosent know what happened... and he doesnt...

have you ever been in a situation that caused a state of extreme shock.... people react "weird" in those situations... walking, whistling, confused as to what is going on after a mugging in which you had to defend your life and possibly kill someone is a huge shock to most people systems and might result in a distorted state like this person seemed to be in....

or he might be a cold blooded killer... we dont have enough info to know, but using what i see, he seems less at fault and more a victim....

as is ekko for sending out his soldier/ward who just wanted attention, and to be noticed by prob ekko himself as is the dieing child/soldier, who was prob ill equipped to find food, just wanted the attention of his hero and volunteered for any assignment as is the whistling man who was prob just going home from work and only thought about his warm meal at home
