Riven feels like she is still stuck in nuetral

For nearly 7 years, Riven has not progressed past the battle in Ionian. So are we going to see any advancement of her story?

You would probably feel more content if the writers updated Riven's lore with both the long bio + colour story. Something of which used to be a given for every champ who needed an LU.

Idk for sure if an extra story would satisfy you as the individual but more stories equals more lore, equals more insight into Riven. Which can only be a good thing.

At least she has a lore. Plenty of champions still don't as of yet.

Many champion have the same old thing for years and years but with all the lore changes Riot are setting up all champions building regions etc. so they can go on with the story with wars, invasions, arcs etc.If we wait for a bit more we will see lore continuations and far greater lore.

Unfortunately this is sort of a problem with the format of League lore. It's not often a progressive narrative, more of a series of vignettes that illustrate champion backstories and world building. There's an exception to this, and it's Burning Tides/Shadow and Fortune (also Bloodline), but those are sorta special cases.

There's the added problem of having some champions arcs revolving around like, killing one another or destroying the world. The latter can't happen, and Riot seems kind of reluctant to do the former. Although it is possible given the lore/game divide, it's sorta playing with fire. Imagine the reaction if someone like Ahri died.

I do think we'll see more progress in stories after the full Runeterra revamp is done (and we're really just missing Bandle now), but it's difficult to do in Riot's traditional form of Lore releases without a JoJ.

Her lore update felt little to me, i wanted more but still i liked what they did, she looks more "clean" now and cares about what she just witnessed I wanted to know what she's been doing in Ionia and if she meet Yasuo and...more info about Elder Souma’s death I hope they make some comics about Riven and Yasuo too I also hope they make a cinematic showing us the fight Riven was in + Yasuo going to the battle and no less important...Elder Souma’s death, i want to see when and how it happened

In her older lore, and in her league judgement, she was actually moving past the ionian battle. She stated she still loved Noxus, and wanted to fight on her own terms. She wanted to save the country from itself - to save the Ideals of the country. I'm really hoping they just decided to turn the clock back, and that stories involving her will in some manner lead to her re-discovering that she still loves Noxus... Rather than scrapping that part of her character entirely for the sake of simplicity, as it removes a lot from her as a character.
