Riven used to be a nice little demacian girl. Then her crush garen refused to go out on a date with her - and his date humiliates her at a military ball. She left the city in tears - barely able to see. After stumbling a long time in the evening dusk, she stumbled into darius setting up an ambush for a wealthy demacian convoy scheduled to travel to the capital the next day. Riven realizes it is the convoy carrying the young rich lady garen loves and vows revenge - joining darius and kat in their plans to capture the convoy's loot and assassinate the rich young demacian lady. Basically riven's story of redemption in reverse. Alternately, she could be a poor noxian girl who is trained much the way her current lore works who falls for a demacian only to have said demacian be told by his family that he cannot marry or date a noxian and must marry such and such a demacian lady instead - leaving riven devastated. Think Romeo and Juliet.

riven has a very deep and cool story, it would be a waste to alter it instead of expanding it!

But because of the stereotypical Riven playerbase it's just gonna be fukt. x-x If someone says it's not their fault when they die the 3rd time to their Darius because they think they can fight him... Idk what to say mates.

I feel like the difference is that Vayne players are really edgy. And Whilst Riven players are really toxic, they're not so much edgy as their waifu isn't as trash.
