@Riot Games Lore Team - Yet Again More of Karma's Character Being Taken Away

No champion exemplifies the spiritual traditions of Ionia more than Karma. She is the living embodiment of an ancient soul reincarnated countless times, carrying all her accumulated memories into each new life. With this insight, she serves as a spiritual beacon to her people, bestowing boundless wisdom and healing in times of crisis. Despite being blessed with power that few could comprehend, she rarely uses her magic for destruction, as it always comes at a considerable cost—both to her, and to the land she holds most dear.

Most people might not know this but Karma's lore was changed. A lot of champions are receiving lore changes. A common thing almost every Department at League of Legends is doing is taking away her character and replacing it with generic, unfinished content that true FANS don't like. The entire Development is straight up not listening and just turning Karma a generic champion with no depth, character, and creativity. We now have a pacifist Avatar Airbender knockoff that does basically nothing but shields others. So Karma is practically her entire existence in game right now: a shield bot support that builds shield enhancing items.

The Development Team purposely removed Karma's fans, dress, battlemage play-style, decent theme, and so much more. For content that is half worked on and poorly conceptualized. For years hypocritical Developers have been saying Karma shouldn't have been treated like she was and they should have listened to the mains. In a pathetic attempt to appease Karma mains, the Developers gave us a unfinished taunt with her fans in it and a poorly animated dress and walking animation that is still not present on her 5 years now. What does this Development team have to say now? A rework is in the works for Karma in 2018 that is going to bolster her shield values and be nerfed 6 months later. Let's repeat that . . . . counter productive work that is not addressing her core issues that this Development team created and continues to ignore. Meanwhile Irelia gets a rushed VGU over a champion that has been completely butchered since her VGU.

Now we have a lore team that is rinse and repeating a common trend other teams at Riot does with Karma. Removing character and things beloved by FANS. Where is the struggle or struggles Karma had to go through to become this honored woman? How does Karma inspire people? What is and what does Karma exactly do now? In Karma's previous lore we had a explanation for a lot of things. We saw how Karma became Karma. We saw why people looked up to Karma and asked for her guidance. We saw Karma lead people into battle and use her abilities when she needed to. Now we have a Avatar the Airbender knock off that refuses to use any abilities for battle purposes but has no problem building shield enhancing items and spamming R+E. Oh look! We have a Ricklessabandon work ethic but in lore form.

I am so excited for zero communication by any Developer about Karma's directing and purpose in lore and in the game. I am so excited for a rework in 2018 that is not addressing any of her issues and going to do nothing but bolster her shield values. This is another example of a complete lack of interest, care, and zero dedication to Karma.

I personally don't have issues(and I may even say I like it) with the avatar relevance as long as it's done right. Thing is, it isn't. Particularly this:

Just like you mentioned Winter it just leaves this uneasy feeling they will make her support, pacifist and goody-two-shoes. I really liked her old lore where everyone was about to give up and surrender to the Noxus invasion but Karma stood up and fought. This is why she is the enlightened one, the wise. One that would try first to resolve around peace and negotiation but wouldn't be afraid to fight as well.

Riot said that they would be willing to change any champion's short bio as long as the community voices it's displease. No one however seems to do so for Karma. This is like the second topic regarding her bio. Either fans are ok with it or are waiting for the rework to come before they make any judgments.

Edit: What I saw(and maybe many others) is that some people, who were displeased with the short bio of their champs, called the writers and asked them for better clarification and in-depth explanation about the short bios they did. Maybe if you or someone else made such a topic we could get a writer to join and tell us what they had in mind. However, without any intention to be rude to you Winter, it has to be done politely without snarky comments and insults. Once we get that information we can jump to conclusions...or wait the GU.
