I read somewhere a post from a Rioter that said that there can be two versions of a champion's quotes: One that is just the raw recording, and the other that is run through a filter.
Varus was released before Zed, and was given a skin that had the voice filter removed.
If there was ever an unmasked skin made for Zed, would it be possible to remove the helmet voice filter? I would assume so, since Zed was made after Varus, but I'm asking anyway.

I suppose so, but the only unmasked Ninja we have seen is Akali. I think unmasking him would take some of his shadow ninja mystique.
EDIT: personally I kind of think under his mask.......he has no face.
