Dear Everyone, reconsider Ao Shin (@Bioluminescence, @Jaredan, @Sharjo, @AnyoneWhoWillListen)

When Ao Shin was first announced, I was skeptical of the concept. A wind dragon? Oh boy, really stepping out there.

Then an gift from Zilean came. It was time. A whole lot of it, too.

Years past, and only a little information came though to let me know that Ao Shin was still happening. These small tatters of news, words, images, even those unspoken thoughts were all I had.

See, I love rumours. I really do. I'd occasionally think to myself, what's in the deep web today? Diving in, I woudl find out about things just a little further up the grapevine. I loved the new news. I'd soon find out about this old thing called Omen, Averdrian the blue man, Tabu the witch doctor, and my personal favourite: Gavid: the plant king. And I'd also find out about real things. "Tamm, the King River" turns out to be our favourite benched champ. The name "Vel'Koz" slipping through the void. Even Morello decided to "...plant a little teaser..." for Zyra.

I'm sidetracking. Where was I? Oh yes. Even to this day, I still think of what it would be like to see these characters again. The cancelled ones. The unlucky few. The longer time passes, the more epic ideas fly through my head, and I'm definitely sure I'm not the only one.

So I had this brilliant idea. See, the League can always use more fan artworks, right? So why not hold a contest! Whoever can come up with the best piece of work for their favourite cancelled champion can save that champion lore-wise!

Imagine someone writes an award-winning poem about Priscilla; a compelling ballad to glorious spider queen. That poem could then be dubbbed official, and Priscilla can now exist (just not as a champion in-game)

A fantastic children's book is written about CeeCee, and her bizarre inventions and tales inspire many kids in reality. That children's book could allow CeeCee to exist, instead of her living on through another muscular male!

And, of course, Ao Shin. I plan on writing some garbage tale, and who knows? If it's good enough, it may just work out for the wind guardian of Ionia to, once again, roam the lands freely.

So, if this post was too long, and you did not read, let me say this. Ao Shin, and his friends, should not be cancelled for good. I don't think anything should be cancelled for good, even the lousy, no good Yasuo who cost me my promos. Let's have a contest instead! Whoever makes the best piece of work, can have it be dubbed canon.

Thoughts? :D

Honestly I prefer Aurelion Sol. Dude's a fundamental part of the League universe and that appeals to me greatly.

A storm dragon-esque skin for Aurelion Sol I could dig, with lightning balls for his stars, being half thunder cloud and stuff, but nah I feel it's fine that Ao Shin's not with us. He sacrificed himself so we could have Aurelion Sol, and Aurelion Sol's awesome.

It warms my heart to see there are still some who hope for the return of the storm dragon http://vignette3.wikia.nocookie.net/leagueoflegends/images/5/57/AoShin_ConceptArt.jpg/revision/latest?cb=20160307222951 http://vignette4.wikia.nocookie.net/leagueoflegends/images/d/d5/AoShin_Concept.jpg/revision/latest?cb=20130908110634 can never have enough dragons and they could even make their personalities completely different where sol is the proud, arrogant one and shin is the humble wise one( not to say sol isn't wise, i mean he has a universal knowledge of... well everything but that attitude squashes any image great benevolent teacher and more condescending god-which i suppose is well earned)

Wait, what?

You want Ao Shin?

AurelionSol

Did you miss like half of season 6?

Also, these champs still exist and are concepts that can eventually become full champs.

Also, if you can't beat a Yasuo, you don't deserve the next rank.

Overall I think the idea of making cancelled champions NPCs in the lore is kinda neat, but it runs into the problem that Riot might want to recycle the champion later on. I mean CeeCee was Riots second attempt at making a female engineer,so it really sounds likely that they'd try again in the future.

They will never release Ao Shin, Aurelion Sol is the closest you will get to what the storm dragon was.

If any other future dragon got released, it will not be Ao Shin, it will be something farther for the types such as Shyvana and Sol (Shins final development model).

The best you can hope for is a storm skin for Aurelion Sol inspired by Ao Shin concept art.
