It basically boils down to this. If people disliked the lore as much as it seems, the question is how do you make your point that the poor choices made will affect them? We can complain all we want until we are blue in the face, but in essence if we still support them through our purchases, doesn't that entitle them to continue to do these things and ignore the community?

Kind of my fault here. In another thread that popped up complaining about Targon Lore, I mentioned that we can complain until we're blue in the face, but Riot won't actually change anything, because Riot is a business and doesn't really care about a few guys complaining online so long as what they're doing is profitable for them. If complaining got us anywhere we'd have the old Trundle lore back. So I said if you really want to show displeasure you have to hit them somewhere a business would actually be hurt by, their wallet.
Now I admit my post was mostly theoretical. I know I'm not giving Riot any more money but I don't exactly expect a large conglomerate of folks to actively boycott. But Mirage Midnight took my words and ran with them apparently. Doubt this thread will go anywhere but down, but I give him props for sticking with his guns.

If you have complaints about the lore, I suggest being more direct, and speaking to relevant Rioter's (like Jaredan) through their social media or tagging them specifically in your thread title (@Rioter).

I mean people have done that. A lot. The best response anyone's gotten was "Sorry you feel that way, hopefully something else we write you will like."
And as to a connection saying you won't do x because y is really all the connection needed. It's just that the current hot item is a Diana skin and upset folk aren't going to get it because we're upset. Essentially, the direct channels failed to bring results so more aggressive actions are taken.
Though again, reiterating I fully expect Mirage's attempt to fail. No way are enough people all equally aggressively upset by the lore changes.

Riot loses projected X dollars due to lack of purchases of X product. Which the community ties back to the lore issue.
Internal discuss takes place to determine how to fix this.

Obviously if its only 10% or 20% profit lost, its a drop in the bucket and riot doesn't care enough to fix the issue.
But if you get enough people to commit to this, it is possible it might change their tune.
As much as Riot states they are all for the community, they also need a way to pay their employees and bills, so anything that takes away from that could inspire them to make changes.

also you can't really "fix" the lore,it's not a program,it's a story. People like different stories and thus you can't "fix" it so that everyone would like it

And finally not everyone hates the Targon lore,I saw a LOT of people who like the lore but ofc you think everyone hates it just because the boards are filled with complaints as always
Mirage Night2 votesA boycott of any type, always require a statement to a company in order for the meaning behind it is clearly indicated. No company can read the mind of its consumers. This is the nature of boycotts.
And it is true not everyone hates the lore. and many may generally are pleased with it. However as some one who does not like, I do have a right to express my dissatisfaction with it and state it out right. I also have the choice, if I feel passionately, enough about it to do something about it. Now, does this mean that those who feel the same will follow through with it, No but that doesn't mean I shouldn't try.
GreenLore2 votesThe thing is that the Targon lore was controversial,but not universally hated.(keep in mind that negative opinions are more likely to be posted in the forums than positive ones). And from what I've read here on the forums Dianas lore was actually the one that got the least flak(pantheons seems to be the most controversial one followed by leona).
