It basically boils down to this. If people disliked the lore as much as it seems, the question is how do you make your point that the poor choices made will affect them? We can complain all we want until we are blue in the face, but in essence if we still support them through our purchases, doesn't that entitle them to continue to do these things and ignore the community?
What are you talking about? The skin has nothing to do with lore. Diana was voted for by the community to receive a skin from the All-Stars event, and Team Fire won so it's a fire themed skin. It has nothing to do with the Solari or lore in any way.
"Boycotting" the skin won't do crap Let's say there are 1000 people that see this and agree with the idea,and that's an extremely high number which I doubt will happen 33% wouldn't want the skin anyway 33% couldn't afford the skin anyway and let's say the rest wouldn't buy it to "boycott" the skin First of all the difference in Riot's earnings would by non-existant by a few hundred people not buying a skin they usually would when there are milions of players who will buy it Second of all Riot won't even really know why people aren't buying the skin,maybe people just don't like the skin so it doesn't turn out as good as they hoped Third of all the skin is not related to the lore in any way,why not "boycott" any random skin instead then since they'll still lose a non-existant amount of money
And finally not everyone hates the Targon lore,I saw a LOT of people who like the lore but ofc you think everyone hates it just because the boards are filled with complaints as always
The thing is that the Targon lore was controversial,but not universally hated.(keep in mind that negative opinions are more likely to be posted in the forums than positive ones). And from what I've read here on the forums Dianas lore was actually the one that got the least flak(pantheons seems to be the most controversial one followed by leona).
