Non-Humans in LoL

Recently, it's been revealed that Runeterra is a world mostly inhabited by humans. While this isn't a complete surprise, I have always assumed that it was 60-70%. It may be 80-90%. The lore is being rewritten, so certain things won't be canon, but I imagine that the non-humans will still be.

One of my questions is how rare are dragons? Shyvana's lore made them sound infamous and reclusive, but based on the lore we've seen so far, I can't imagine where they can live without either oppressing humans, or being hunted down.

Noxus is supposedly less xenophobic than before, so I'm curious on the state of Alistar's lore, which had him and his race as slaves in the arena.

What's the difference between Celestials and Spirits?

Before we start, Noxus ain't xenophobic anymore; that's old lore. They're a highly accepting culture, and if you get conquered by them, you can be Noxian. Just prove your worth and they'll respect you. Children of conquered nations are Noxian, and often the armies beaten by Noxus then just become a part of the Noxian legions. As for Alistar I dunno, though given it was never stated his people were ultimately conquered he could have ended up as a prisoner of war. I could imagine Noxians offering him many things in exchange for his commitment to the empire, but Alistar's not the kind for that.

Dragons are likely very rare and very powerful, but are probably also avoided by humans for the most part. Much of Runeterra is uninhabited by humans, so coming across a dragon is probably highly unlikely for anyone. There's probably also some kind of distinction between dragons like those we see on Summoner's Rift and those like Shyvana's father.

Celestials are beings of the cosmos, vast and immensely powerful. They're beings of the wider universe. Spirits are non-physical entities tied to the spirit realm, and come in a variety of forms depending on where you are in the world. Spirits are pretty tied down to the worlds they inhabit. At least that's as far as I can discern the difference.

Ahh, the Celestials and spirits.

Celestial Beings, like Bard, Sol, and (formerly) Soraka, are the guys who came into being at the beginning of the universe. They are aware of alternate dimensions (like the Void), and Bard regularly travels between them. Celestials are immensely powerful creatures.

Now, spirits. The normal spirits are the ones that Udyr and Shen deal with. Sharjo put it well:

Spirits are non-physical entities tied to the spirit realm, and come in a variety of forms depending on where you are in the world. Spirits are pretty tied down to the worlds they inhabit.

I don't know much about these spirits, but the wiki list the Kindred as Spirits, and I love them, so I'll talk about them too. The Kindred are vastly different from Udyr/Shen Spirits. The Kindred aren't the angels of death, they're not the Grim Reaper, they literally are death. Hey, remember how Celestial Beings are as old as the universe? Well, they can die too. All things meet the Kindred. The Kindred have existed since before the beginning of time and will continue to exist after the end of it. Even when all things are gone, there will still be Kindred.

Too bad I can't kite for sh*t.
