Question regarding grammar in Panth's lore
"Numb and barely lucid, he pushed himself to his feet."
Barely is an adverb but lucid is never a verb. Am I missing something?

They are using the term "lucid" as a synonym for cogent, coherent. etc...
Lucid in this case is an adjective.
