Burning Tides vs Progress Day

Which of these stories did you like more

  • The high-flying action story of revenge and redemption, and a showcase of life on the mean docks of Bilgewater

or

  • The almost bond level spy thriller, that showcases the political intrigue and inner working and the price paid in the City of Progress

Remember these were both absolutely fantastic, both authors are masters of their craft and should both be celebrated equally

Edit: I have been informed that both stories were written by Dinopaws/Graham McNeil, i apologize for this but my statement otherwise still stands

Actually, the best is Shadow And Fortune. Olaf just killed it. Imagine the party moving carefull through a city infested by the Black mist, and suddenly a gigantic undead Kraken shows up. Everyone is totally scared and he's just like "THE BEAST!" and throws himself of a cliff to fight it. Best Scene. I doubt Riot will be able to top that one.

It was the same author for both, actually. Dinopaws/Graham McNeil.

That said Burning Tides is still my favorite League story.

While I liked Progress day,I think Burning tides easily beats it.

Mostly because burning tides actually moved the story a lot forward(TF and Graves are buddies again,Gangplank fell from grace and MF is about to hunt down his men),wheras Progress day is more like the beginning of a story(with a noxian spy still being in the city)and mostly does a lot of worldbuilding.

However we should keep in mind that the piltover and bilgewater event also seem rather different from each other,Bilgewater was this huge story event, wheras Piltover/Zaun seems to be mostly a lore update, similar to what we got for shurima and Targon this year.
