champion weapons. design and lore
i don't see enough unique and interesting weapons being used by the champions in this game.
most of the mages use either staves or none at all.
then we got stereotypical swords, maces, bows, and guns.
Teemo's blowgun is damn cool. Zigg's bombs... very cool.
Various other small things and a lot of stuff that seems cool i guess but just wouldn't ever work in theory(like draven's axes, sivir's chakrams, camille, etc). I don't mind these things, in fact it's very cool that they are in the game. I love it.
I just think there's a lot of untapped potential in different types of weapons that could potentially write the character sheet itself.
Different types of weapons serve all types of different purposes. something as simple of a TYPE of blade like a kukri is meant for dismemberment specifically. It's what I THINK Diana's weapon is stylized after, but i'm not sure. Then there are weapons much more intricately designed like hook swords, which worked like a weaponized crook.
Though used for punishment, whips are a very cool weapon, and can easily be implemented into this game. I see a whip user as a mage that excels in extended fights and punishes those who run away. Actually it could be either a whip OR a mace(possibly flail), named cat o' nine tails and holy water sprinkler respectively...due to them both having been known for making holes in people so that they bleed excessively.
It doesn't have to be just one spell, but could be the whole kit that just gives them a bleed debuff like darius and talon, the difference being that movement is what activates the dmg and distance traveled per stack is what determines the dmg.
I think it could be cool anyways.
And that's just one character idea I came up with on the spot thinking about a whip or cat o' nine tails.
