Is Kayle supposed to be able to outscale Jax and Neeko?
Kayle's design is interesting... but can she really outshine champions like Jax Vayne and Neeko in the end?
For some reason, people seem to think that "hyper carries should have a shitty ass early game" as if that's the way it's supposed to be balanced.
what makes a hard scaling carry unique is having passives in place of abilities. For instance, Vayne's Silver Bolts. They sacrifice utility for on-hit passives that scale with items. That's all it is, and naturally, all the champions with the best on-hit passives in the game will be the most broken.
The fact that Jax's ultimate is a huge on-hit passive is what makes him one of the hardest scaling carries in the game.
Compared to Neeko's passive, Kayle's passive isn't even worth investing in Rageblade for. Maybe if it also worked with Aflame, but that would be way too much considering it turns into true damage at 16.
The way I see it, there are plenty of hard carries in the game with passives that are even better. And they don't need a 2nd and 3rd ultimate passive ability that comes on-line at levels 11 and 16.
I like the idea, and it's really cool, but I fail to see how Kayle can contest with any of the other on-hit passives that come online much more reliably and sooner into the game.
Like, she's really cool, I just wish she were streamlined and more fair to play. Like maybe her range could scale instead of just instantly becoming a 550 ranged hero at lvl 11. Shit, range could even scale based on AP/AD or something else more realistic like levels.
It really just bothers me that this rework went through. Templar Assassin's range increased with each point invested into E...and nobody was even paid for its development.
League of Legends is like...an old hoopty with a new paintjob. You see that new paintjob, and it gets you in the car, but when you start to drive it, you realize it's still just an old hoopty.
