Was it really not possible to model it out of origami shapes instead of books?

The books are the best part of the skin. That's what made me want to buy it.
It's not books. It's reams of origami paper. You can distinctly see that some of them have patterns on them, plus some of the longer ones roll over into themselves. I dunno about you, but books don't curl over.
