Kayn being half corrupted kinda reminds me of Varus, maybe he should be a Darkin too?

I mean he kinda already has similarities both in looks and lore it's just that his as to do with a pit of corruption, instead of a weapon. If they made that small change the lore wouldn't even have to be changed all that much. Instead of a corrupted pit, make it a corrupted weapon inside that temple and there you go. He gave up his humanity for vengeance.

Thoughts?

can you provide any more sources regarding the lore? I just looked at the Wiki and I haven't seen any changes from his old lore. The pic provided earlier though does make it seem feasible I just want more info. Varus was my first main and I always has a soft spot for the guy.

Aatroxx represents the outcome of a darkin taking over its user. Varus represents the outcome of a weapon user overcoming the darkin.

Uhm no,Kayn in his shadow assassin form represents a user overcoming their darkin. But if we go by the VO of Varus,then the corruption is still spreading throughout his body,meaning that he hasn't overcome his darkin,he just slowed the process down.

^ this guy is correct. I also think varus was tainted by the void or at least the darkin was so thats why he has the purple eyes.

On the wiki it says that aatrox is the darkin of war, rhaast being death and varus' bow being vengeance. varus' lore hasnt changed yet but we're expecting something big to change within the coming weeks when Kayn and Rhaast's lore is released. I'm hoping for an aatrox lore update and a varus one too.

Edit: Rhaast also has quotes towards varus in game saying "the three of us - five of us?" meaning the darkin since he references aatrox too and we know that there is 5 remaining darkin but history only knows of 3.

I think that bit about vengeance is just speculation though(keep in mind the wiki isn't official).

Rhaast never even talks to the darkin in the bow of Varus,which honestly makes me wonder if that darkin is even sentient.

Varus hasn't received a Lore Update, but in the current interaction videos that Rhaast shares with Varus, Kayn/Rhaast refer to Varus in a way that associates him with the Darkin.

Rhaast: "Varus the three of us... umm.. Five of us? Well.. together we will lay waste to this realm." Rhaast: "Yes Varus, let us sow chaos." Rhaast: "We find Aatrox.. and it's a party.. of murder. A murder party." Rhaast on killing Varus: "Demon pants had it coming."
