"Sion, beware of Ravens."

Apparently Boram said this to Sion.

So what does this mean? Potentially this means that Beatrice is very old and perhaps has had many appearances in Noxian history. Maybe perched on the shoulders of men and women of power (though not always the most powerful of their standing), almost like she acts through or with powerful figures.

And who is she with now? That's right, Swain the current leader of Noxus. Originally I thought Beatrice as the true mastermind, a being that uses corpses as hosts to do its bidding while it plays the creepy pet. But maybe that isn't the case? Maybe Beatrice is a demon that tends to make deals with mortals in exchange for something, but while TahmKench gobbles up his victims at a later date. Beatrice has bigger desires.

See, Tahm is gluttony and while he will wait for a meal his hunger will eat away his patience. Hence why he has specific dates on when to "catch up" with his buddies.

I'd argue that Beatrice is a demon of greed, who seeks to keep attaining more and more standing. For her, increasing the pile is her purpose (while Tahm's is to eat it when it's big enough).

But why would Boram tell Sion to beware of ravens? Maybe Lord Darkwill made a deal that he later regretted. Maybe he tried to weasel out of it?

The devil always gets his due, and we all know who had a big hand in Boram's demise (in theory anyway): Swain, Beatrice's current "owner".

Just food for thought.

TahmKench: Yummy.

It sure would be cool if this game had actual, unified lore for it's world and characters. Oh well, maybe in 10 years.

I wonder if Darius himself knows what's really up with Swain.

Flashbacks from Pandora Hearts Thank you for that. ^^

It would be a great story hook in my opinion. Having Beatrice as a demon manipulating the man in power in Noxus seems interesting and explains some stuff. We know that Noxus used to be a country without any resources on their own and so they had to conquer new land. Having a powerful supernatural being on their side to do so makes sense.

But: With the recent interactions, it gets mentioned that Swain has Vastaya blood and it seems that is the source of his power. That makes it a bit less likely that his power comes from a demon in my opinion.

personally i always liked to think of Beatrice as Swain's sassy/sarcastic sidekick like every good disney villain

Also makes sense if you think about how real world ravens, crows, jackdaws, etc. all collect items in small hordes, usually seen as a sign of greed and avarice...

TahmKench is NOT Demon of Gluttony. He is Demon of Desires and Greed. And I mean Greed. He is not wanting to eat all, that's Cho'Gath thing. He wants more specific "meals" - meals, that cooked on desires, which are in a too many cases build on greed. He doesn't even eat anything in game, he just carryies you in mouth to your destination.

apart from that, I like this theory. But where did you get info about Boram's words?

Edit: I think Beatrice is more demon of Power, than Greed

This would have been a cool theory but can you fit the vastayan in there? A quote from Rakan and Xayath state that Swain is of vastayan blood.

I honestly don't get how Riot can shove in our face so many times that Swain IS evil, yet people still want to say he is just "wanting the best for the nation of Noxus, which includes necromancy, genocide, and other forms of horrific actions".
