This reminds me of a video I saw once of a cosplay skit done by a Naruto and Jiraiya pair, where Jiraiya attempts to teach Naruto the "Perfect Cosplay No-Jutsu" Was a funny skit. Could see it working for a cheap skin line.

Jokes aside I feel like a horror themed Ahri skin would be cool. Tails are living snakes, her whiskers are gaps in her skin from which vile liquid spills from, stuff like that.

For a Harrowing four years from now perhaps.

I've been sketching an Elderwood Ahri concept that looks like a cross between Elderwood LeBlanc and Skyrim's Spriggans. Ability particles are swarms of insects, her face is a mouthless mask, and her torso is an empty wooden ribcage. Not as spooky as your concept, but I think there's a lot of potential for eerie/scary Ahri skins. Hopefully next year's Ahri skin is something more interesting and not just Pool Party.

The problem with Pool Party Ahri I feel is that, in reality, many folks just wants Ahri in a bikini. There's probably a ton more interesting paths they could take there, I mean there has to be to make her work considering she's a mage with magic so her having a beachball ain't gonna cut it, but many will just want their sexy bikini Ahri.

Blegh.

You can be so much more imaginitive with that idea.

That's fair, but where's her magic in those concepts? What do the dashes look like? The charm? The foxfire? Even Taric retains his magic tattoo to a degree. Lifeguard could be a great concept, I'm just looking to where the magic lies, since the vfx and sfx are what make these skins something special.

I'd assume watery-particles for the most part. Her Q can either be a ball of water, or a foxy beachball as seen in the pics. Foxfire splashes them with animated water, Charm doesn't (and shouldn't) need to change much for gameplay reasons. Maybe make it look like a life preserver like this but heart shaped and pink. Her R animation changes to her making a diving pose as water streams past her for the particles. Maybe some minor animation changes and SFX like whistle blowing, and splashes when W/R hit an enemy.

The only real challenge I can see with the idea is her passive.

its my theory that there is an ahri enthusiast on the skins team who has already made a shit ton of ahri skins just in their free time. however, riot doesnt want to feel like there is favoritism toward ahri so instead of releasing all of them at once they do 1 per year

Good idea! IMO all sexy champs (like ahri) get always a sexy skin (with cleavage at best) - I think there should be more funny and ugly skins for them, but wait! than all revealing, slutty cosplayers wouldn't touch them :O
