The great question of when Evelynn will get her much needed VU, can only be answered when some on figures out what/who she is. So from all I can see the issue boils down in getting a back ground together to help hash this out.
So where are we at?
RiotIronStylus8 votesCurrently, as far as the ChampUp team's involvement, which would dictate whether she's being work on in preparation for pre-production, I don't believe so. Because she's on our hit list she'll enter the concept pipeline when we're done with our current batch of content. When that happens, our dedicated Narrative resource will jump in as well as the designated representatives from Art and Design.
A lot of us are itching to get at her, however.
Mirage Night5 votesAs much as I appreciate you explaining the situation, it really puts a depressing look on it. With what is in the pipe line seemingly not going to be ready SoonTM. She still needs to go through Pre-Prod and then Prod, and with no one having a clue what to do with her. The real frustrating thing is the lack of content for her (skins, story, etc). Yeah we got a new skin recently but it was almost insulting. It as if it was just given to us to shut us up. I find it really boring and unappealing. There are a ton of great skin ideas for her, none of which will not see the light of day until this VU gets done.

He has a great theme that doesn't makes it way to the fields of Justice like better theme developed champs like Zed and Yasuo. Personally I like to see riot expand more on his role as the Eye of Twilight like what is the origin of this role and power, who/how do they choose the one to take this role and what connections and impact it has on runterra. I imagine it to be a power that comes from powerful entity in space, maybe unlocking secrets of the human body like what the shadows did to Zed
DynamiteGazelle3 votesJust please for the love of god don't give her a shadow isles-ification and make all her colors pale green. We've got enough of those I think. Personally I don't think Eve should even be from the shadow isles at all. Maybe it's rumored she is, but she shouldn't really be.

A banshee tormenting the poor people travelling to Shadow Isles but decieves them into thinking she's a person (banshee in stealth mode, human when visible)? The typical green shadow isle light would probably fit the best.
A very talented darkin rogue who survives in the Shadow Isles without being devoured? Night hunter Rengar style.
These are only few of them. I don't see her staying as an invisible "stripper" lady.
Also I really can't see her from anywhere else than from the Shadow Isles. She's just too mysterious. And I don't think people would be pleased if Riot suddenly changed her faction to something else (Noxus, Bilgewater, etc.).
Linna Excel1 votesHow many times do I have to tell you all, Evelynn doesn't need a "narrative" like most other champs do as she's the league's mystery champ. She should be left as such. Every game/universe/story with this many characters needs at least one who you don't really know who that person is, where they come from, or what their plans/motives are. Eve is that character for LOL.

Chromatic Eagle1 votesYou've compared Poppy and Taric more or less to a Sion level of rework. Would Eve be another example of this? Any other champions you "feel" would be of that level?
Karn Bishop3 votesI've just accepted that riot doesn't want eve to exist as a champion, they constantly avoid her whenever possible and nuke her from orbit whenever she becomes even remotely decent as a champion even though they reworked her to add levers for power adjustments in the end its always nuke it from orbit responses.
After her rework she literally went from AP assassin, to AD assassin, and to ad tank bruiser all within a few months to boot; and when the new jungle was released they ignored the constant warnings that it would destroy her as a champion and called the 4 armor buff most junglers got good enough for eve.
Now riot can say what they want but this is the exact same behavior they used when eve was eve tier for 2 years and is again eve tier now to the point that people will actually report you for picking eve in a ranked match.

There is no sneak peak. She's currently not being worked on.
