Is the "Arena" mentioned in Rek'Sais lore a revamped League of Legends?

We were told that Summoners were coming back, though that the fields of justice would be removed, meaning that it is theoretically possible that the arena mentioned is a version of the league of legends that isn't political.

Thoughts?

I feel like it'd be more like the arena where Draven hosts his executions, or where 'The Fleshing' takes place in Xin Zhao's lore.
