Look closely near Sion's left leg. Someone with big ears and a zipline. I know this isn't canon, but this could be a sneak preview of a new champion. Have we ever gotten a preview of a new champ by seeing their alternate reality self first?

Edit: All right guys, it's clear I got too excited and jumped the gun on possible reveals. Ever since 's lore update, I've bee dying to see some lore updates on the Yordles. And the best lore updates we've had were champion updates/releases.

Other than the reasons already mentioned I think its honestly partially the idea both are from the "bad" factions as they were at the time and both love their home land and want to make it good in their mind, but while riven is really dark and dreary in her vo zac is happy and funny so it might be an idea of Zac and Riven work together and Zac helps lighten the mood from Riven's whole the sword mirrors its owner, which when a sword is broken sounds kind of sad.

mostly because there lores are very cohesive, riven was born and trained as a killer until she discovered what she was doing wrong and exiled herself. Because the pairing makes some sort of sense. Zac is a great guy with a healthy mindset and a caring heart, and Riven is in need of emotional support.

Obviously this can work as friendship, but people love rule 34.

Well, the first time Vel'Koz made an appearance was with his Battlecast skin, in the back of Creator Viktor's splash, around 6 months before his release.

There was also the unknown flying Battlecast creation which/who was seen in Creator Viktor's recall panels, in the back of the Battlecast Vel'Koz splash (Behind Creator Viktor) and possibly in the blueprints-of-a-background of the Battlecast Alpha Skarner and Battlecast Kog'Maw promotional site, but this guy/gal never got released. :P

That was Battlecast Anivia. It was canceled for some reason or another. Riot was asked about it again 2 or 3 months ago and the rioter responding didn't seem very enthusiastic about it.

EDIT: Looking at the old Battlecast teaser page, it would appear that the wings eventually influenced Riot Kayle maybe.

They also decided to do Blackfrost instead as a different Legendary skin.

With all the hype and mystery put around it Im pretty sure that battlecast anivia was going to be legendary. I guess riot just liked the blackfrost theme better and found it easier to work with etc.

Battlecast Anivia? Maybe it was a concept at some point which Riot liked, hence the codename "ANV" in Cho'Gath's Battlecast skin teaser.

But that winged creature doesn't look much like Anivia. The wings look very different. Some suspect that it's a ray or a moth sort-of-creature, rather than a bird. :P

Uhm no it was never confirmed that Battlecast anivia was ever planned(the whole ANV-thing isn't even that fitting,considering tha it should be called ANI instead)

Also blackfrost came out several months before creator viktor and bc vel'koz,so why would it be featured in their skins somehow when its been cancelled already for such a long time?

ANI could easily denote Annie. ANV has only one possible interpretation if it were a reference to a champion.

Honestly though I don't think Battlecast Anivia would've been a skin at all, much less a legendary. That line already has two legendaries and the whole point of a legendary skin is to put a new concept on a champion in addition to all the new particles, model changes, VO, animations, etc. Battlecast just wasn't new anymore and couldn't justify a third legendary in the line.

If you look at the teaser where it includes ANV, there are also abbreviations for Skarner (SKA), Kog'Maw (MAW), Xerath (XER), and Urgot (URG). If the four known abbreviations all refer to champions, it makes sense for the last one to refer to a champion as well. Anivia is the only champion that ANV could reasonably refer to. It's not that big of a stretch to think they were hinting at a skin that was in concept.

Look in Mecha Aatrox and Mecha Mal's splashes. You can see Rumble, Heimerdinger, and Ziggs. This is likely one of them.

Ziggs is clearly the Yordle on the bottom. I think he's talking about the character propelling down Sion's leg.

I wouldn't say that it is "clearly" ziggs. I mean the ears fit and it looks like the yordle is also wearing goggles,but ziggs doesn't wear a tiny helmet like that(if you look closesly there is even a second one witha tiny helmet standing there,so I guess they could be just regular yordle-workers)

The yordle is most likely Rumble, since he is one of the smallest yordles, maybe even the smallest. It's also confirmed that he created mecha Kha, so he could've helped create mecha zero sion. Rumble
