Is it possible to trick Tahm Kench?

Or perhaps place one in a position where their continual success is advantageous to Tahm? For example a man becomes the ruler of a kingdom through Tahm's help, and in return provides Tahm with continual new suckers to "help" Alternatively, maybe Tahm gives someone too much power and when it's time to take away everything they fight him off? Or am I not understanding this correctly?

I guess it is possible but very difficult to do. On the one hand it looks like tahm kench won't simply attack the partner, but the partner will actually turn into tahm kench(it was said that the name of the gambler was actually tahm kench),thus fighting back against tahm might be impossible through normal means(at least for the person who struck a deal with tahm)

However on the other hand,I think that the most frightening thing about Tahm is that he actually seems to know pretty much everyone. He knows what his target wants and so its likely he also knows what they are capable of,so it is likely that he also knows if someone could actually threaten him and he probably wouldn't make a deal with someone who could be dangerous for him.

Sure it is. This one time I was playing against a Tahm and I got "caught" getting scuttlebug in river and ran away. He slapped his Q on me nd chased like a fat, greedy turd. Thing was, two of my team were there prepping for drag, so they all dove him when he ran up to eat me and killed his toad butt.

Trick the toad. Flog the frog. Con the catfish.

100% Lore abidding answer: Fuck if we know. We only got one story that relates the demon's bargaings with the gambler Tahm Kench (he takes the name of the last person he "dealt with").

Speculation: I suppose it would be possible. For example, let's say an ancient Shuriman struck a bargain with the River King to become Emperor. The first thing he does as Emperor is to decree his immediate Ancension. If not superior, an Ascended is probably at the same power level as the demon, and as such it'll probably be able to fight him off. The River King would probably be smart enough to foresee such eventualities, making this a moot point... unless he was overtaken by hunger. He/it loses his calm and his planning skills when starved or when his meal closes, as shown by the quotes he ushers when at 3 stacks: "MEAT!" and "GIVE IT TO ME!" replace the normally composed demon's speechcraft. If one were to bargain with the River King when he had been deprived of a meal for long enough, or if one was to use the opportunity his gluttony provides once he comes to colletct to use some sort of magic, power or device that would allow to turn the tables on the demon... then perhaps one would be able to outbargain the River King
