In Rek'sai's teaser they rode camels, and it looks like camels where also what Sivir and company rode to find Shurima. Not fancy, but more common than boars.

Honestly, the Poro is probably the animal mascot equivalent for this game. Who knows though, maybe they'll introduce some more of the wildlife.
