So I was reading Sion's lore.

Was thinking of writing a fanfic detailing Sion before he died and decided to read his lore for reference. The end has gained some of my interest.

"SION--Beware Ravens"

Who said this? Katarina's father? The previous Gran General? Who?

Boram Darkwill, considering he's the only person who could've said it; Sion was dead long before Kat's dad was even born.

I always took that line as being something Sion heard after he was resurrected. Like maybe General DuCouteau is being hidden wherever Sion's body was being worked on, in some kind of Noxian clandestine site? Just a personal theory though, no real evidence.

As far as I understand things that's a deeply buried memory of Sion's, which would've been from when he was alive. Sion doesn't have the best track record for remembering his time as a mindless abomination, and is completely unaware of his current state of being.

Also given how the lore reads it pretty much seems to come immediately after his re-ressurection at the hands of Swain, Vladimir and LeBlanc. I don't think it's physically possible for the General to have actually met Sion during this time, since he went from his coffin to the fields of war and then back to mindlessness all within the span of a day, with little time between said events.

Wait...how old is Swain? How many generations has this guy lived through?

It's implied Swain's been around for a long time, kept alive through dark magic. Beatrice is the key of course because no none dark magicy people would actually have a six eyed raven as a companion.

Of course there's the potential that Boram was literally talking about Ravens and not alluding to Swain. What significance the ravens may have is a different matter entirely.

Or that Swain is one of many "owners" of Beatrice.

Yeah. I always got the impression that in this relationship of man and raven that the two have distinct roles, and Swain isn't the first to be in his specific role. I don't know what Beatrice is exactly, but I have my hunches, and it's probably not good for anyone.

It's not like Tyrant Swain didn't give a hint.
