Lucian's second weapon once belonged to his fallen wife
Just hits me in the feels.
Riot could do a major event with Lucian and Thresh being the main players and everyone else taking sides.
I'd like to see the story go further..

While Lucy's story didn't necessarily advance, you got a glimpse of the story in Burning Tides.
Lucy was walking along the harbors of Bilgewater awaiting the Harrowing in hopes of fighting Thresh.
Both Lucy and MF sought vengeance for the ones they lost. MF came to her resolution of emptiness after succeeding in defeating GP, so she tried to give Lucy one or two words of advice.
Also, Lucy JUST NOW LEARNED that his wife's soul is with Thresh. Before, he just though she was dead. Nope. Nope. She's not passed on. Her soul as her own self still exists within the lantern. Lucian is no longer on a search for vengeance. he's on a rescue mission.

Eh... I dunno. I'd certainly like to see Lucian and Threshs' story advanced, but this sounds like a versus event (also I still want to know how Lucian and his wife are thought of in Demacia; they use magic pistols, after all)
The reason why Yasuo vs Riven was such a huge deal that a pair of skins were themed around it was because of the fact that either could be the hero or the villain. This was reflected in the Dawn/Nightbringer skins; Riven the Tyrant vs Yasuo the Freedom Fighter, or Riven the Savior vs Yasuo the Destroyer. Riven has made some very clear mistakes in her life, and has sought to learn from them. Yasuo is on a quest to bring justice to whoever killed his elder. There are genuine arguments to be made both for and against each character.
There's not really sides to take in this kind of battle. Lucian is on a very small and personal (albeit difficult) quest to save the woman he loves from a torturous monster. Thresh is the very clear villain here, and a VS event themed around the two just doesn't really work, because there's no real argument in Thresh's favor. The guy's an evil dick, end of story.
