You got Veigar and Nocturne, who I think fits the theme very well! They're beautiful, but deeply unsettling and otherworldly. And then you have Ahri? This is just a girl wearing flowers, there's nothing there that makes her fit the skinline other than some vague nature theme.
She's a forest nymph.
She does feel a bit odd, can't deny, but I think that it's because she seems more flesh than flowers, leaves or wood, unlike the other Elderwood skins
had something similar, but she is clearly made of something resembling plant fiber and has petals so she is more in sync with the skin theme than Ahri, that looks quite close to a Fox-Neeko
Its because once again Riot executes a limited idea of what beauty is which hijacks the skin because Elderwood Ahri looks far too much like a pretty human and not enough like she is made from nature. Which is honestly very disappointing as there are lots of ways to substitute human body parts with nature.
And yes I know she is supposed to be a forest nymph. They made her a rather boring sexy human forest nympth though.
Riot shoehorns skin selling machine champs into every theme possible while complaining about "this theme doesn't work well on this champ" whenever players request a skin for less popular champs, what's new?
