Lore Discussion megathread (hopefully rioters can jump in)

I am creating this thread for one purpose: to have a thread that has a HEALTHY discussion about lore. I would ask all non-rioters to refrain from bitching at riot about the state of the lore, because if you do, what do you expect them to do? Respond?
@ Riot, I would request that you not give the usual answers. I know that it is hard because you do not always know, but i request that you not say something along the lines of "We're working on it." Maybe some of these issues could be addressed with the advent of season 6? Idk, but I will put a few discussion topics in place. Firstly, the retcon. I do not actually think that the retcon was as bad as most people think, however, there is one MAJOR problem: several champions lores have been destroyed. Nocturne, jax, and fiddle are in the worst spots, but i'm sure that there are other champions who are intimately tied to the League - this needs to be addressed. Secondly, it would be nice that even if the League doesn't exist anymore, SR was given a purpose. Maybe a training ground? Lastly, there are some mysteries that are put forth in lore that have never been addressed, i. e. jax, nocturne, what is skarner guarding, what happened with Zed, etc etc. I'll admit - the Shurima even was WELL DONE. full props to Riot on that one. But sometimes, riot you kinda just forget about old lore mysteries that need to be answered. I hope that people will use this thread for discussion that is new and non-complaining, as that is the purpose

Not sure why the other threads are not healthy discussions. Are they not constructive, with proper argumentation?

I hope that people will use this thread for discussion that is new and non-complaining, as that is the purpose

You're basically complaining in a nice manner. In order: No new lores for the champions that were tied to the IoW, no link between the game and lore, and no conclusion for the old lore mysteries.

I downvoted this thread because it seemed a bit hypocritical and not very constructive. To me, you seem like you compliment Riot and then ask the very same questions most people here ask. Had you asked different questions, ones that you could reasonable expect Rioters to answer without spoiling any lore, it would've been a different case. Rioters don't seem very intent on answering those questions either though...

Since this is a thread about lore,I'll talk about the retcon.

I'm neither for or against the retcon.Why,because I was never around when the lore was alive for I started playing League January of last year.While I did check out the lores of a few characters I liked,I didn't learn about the world of Runeterra,the Summoners & the Institute of War until later that summer.As the games went by,I became more interested in my favorite champs' stories & their world,but their stories were often just chapter 1 with no indication of a chapter 2 coming.

But in all that time,I never developed a single care for all the summoners business.This is probably due to a lack presence of Summoners in game,in client or even on the website.I know there are those players who became attached to the concept of summoners or felt immersed in the game because of it.I never felt like "I'm Summoner Joe working with Garen to earn political points for Demacia",I was fucking Garen spinning2winning.I guess this goes back to a lack of in game reference to Summoners.

Then came infamous dev blog and all I got out of it was one word:progression.I thought more stories would becoming.I thought I would get to see more of my favorite champs & see more of their world along with some actual progression.I understand for most lore fans,this was the destruction of the core aspect of the lore world.I figured a new core aspect or aspectS would replace it soon after with a lot of content to support it......ha ha ha.

Anyway,what I'm for is progression.I don't care if it's in Runeterra or Retconterra,as long as it isn't Frozenterra.Unfortunately though,both of them are Frozenterra right now.
