I've liked all the champion reworks, Riot, but this is the first one I HATE

The Boards' hot page is littered with threads on it, but I wanted to throw my two cents in there too. Though at first I had strong reservations about it following my thread on Sylas since I was met with a barrage of negative responses, alongside a few reasonable ones. Now that everyone seems to be up in arms, I might as well let the cat out of the bag.

So, at first I'd like to remind ya'll about this - Riot's explanation and supposed apology for giving Kai'Sa's V-Neck. Well, the V-Neck was just one part of the problem with her. In short, her entire looks made no sense at all with regards to her lore. Then, we have Sylas, a guy who spends FIFTEEN YEARS chained in prison, forced to eat rats, and then he's shown in the trailer buff AF, perfectly shaven, etc. I did not like it, and I voiced my opinion on it, as I mentioned. Then somebody said that there's a gap of months, iirc, between the Sylas we see in-game and him escaping prison. So I thought "Well, OK, maybe they showed the in-game Sylas in the trailer, because if he looked like withered skeleton and had stupidly long beard and hair people wouldn't recognize him. Sure, whatever.".

And now we have Kayle and Morgana. I was excited about those two reworks. Morgana, IMO, did hit the mark nicely. Some said she looks like a goth emo girl, but bear in mind that their lore changed completely; Morgana is no longer supposed to be evil and tormented, so she doesn't need to look like that either. But Kayle? Oh, boy...

I have been supportive of all the other reworks, especially Evelynn and Irelia (feel free to hasaki me into the next dimension for liking the broken Irelia, lol), but Kayle is the first one I'm deeply disappointed with. And that's before I have even seen what her abilities actually are. And, to be quite frank, at this point I don't even care. To me it's a blatant failure. As a rework and a failure on Riot's part in keeping the promise they made:

A few months ago, you said you’d no longer add unnecessarily hyper-sexualized champions, only if it made sense for the character...

So, what the honest hell, Riot? What's gotten into you? Kayle was that Angel of Justice, who was portrayed as being perfect by her followers, but she hid those features of hers beneath her armor. She was one of the characters whose gender you couldn't tell because of the armor and I did think she was male until some time into the game when I played her and heard her speaking. And even if I couldn't play her I loved her for that; for her identity. In a roster full of the same generic style of model perfect bodies and revealing clothes or "armor" (with a few exceptions like Illaoi) Kayle was one of those who stood out of the crowd. I'd dare say she even was the one who stood out the most. Now? She lost that identity, save for her voice. In fact, she even looks close to Dawnbringer River, especially when the latter ults and becomes golden. How does it make sense for her out of everyone to be wearing such revealing "armor"?

In summary, I'm just disappointed with you Riot. Deeply. Very deeply. I've already started playing LoL less and less ever since Apex Legends was released, but if you are unable to keep your promises in the future I guess I might as well give up LoL for good. Not because I don't want to give you money or whatever (I've never spent a dime to date for years), you wouldn't even notice it anyway. I'm just that disappointed and I just don't enjoy the game anymore. And that's coming from someone who used to swear he'd play only LoL from then on just over a year ago.
