GG on lore, Riot isn't going to connect the next few champions with anyone.

Just by reading the Rioter comments from this Thread I see now that Riot has no plans to connect the next following champs with the rest.

So basically, the next couple of champs will not have anytime type of interactions with other champs. It's just going to be a story centered around the primary champ because they feel like if they did have any type of interaction outside the gameplay, it would distract the audience from the person's story. So I guess Azir distracted Riot from making some long bios for the retconned Shurima Champions, because they focused so much on him during the Shurima event. I suppose this is what happened to the Shadow Isles champions as well. Kalista just took the spotlight from them. Some how Riot became aware of this and decided, "Let's not add anymore champions in one's lore again." "Oh, but let's keep giving them champ interactions in the game play." It is really meaningless when u give a champ certain interactions in VO's when you don't even plan to have a follow up on it. Ekko: "You used to be cool Vi" "I had a crush, 'til you started talking to the guns." How does Ekko even know Jinx and Vi? It's reveal they are way older than him. I asked this question at the AMA, Couldn't get a response, of course. Reason why I don't go to the AMA's anyway. What's the point of giving Ekko those lines, when you state that doing so in his lore is unnecessary?

Like seriously, I'm tired of the constant "hint's" you give to champs you don't even have plans to follow on. Why does Yasuo suspect Riven? Why would he? In his lore, he never even saw riven. So what's the point of even thinking Riven was the killer? Like seriously Stop! Interactions between Lucian and Thresh makes perfect sense. After all, /thresh was in Lucian's Lore. He had a reason to speak to thresh in game(Even If it was just his ult.)

MY favorite character Aatrox has a interaction with Tryndramere. Why? His lore and Trynda's makes sense to be. Aatrox a warrior told to change the tides of fights using blade. That's what happened in Tryn's lore. So to say that it's not necessary to add others in one's lore is pretty ignorant to me. Stuff like that why I play this game. Now I'm seeing it going no where, based on Bard and Ekko. Just going to be Ao Shin and Ao Shin only. After liking this game for a year now, I can say enough has really disappointed me now

Edit: Can you guys read my post please b4 commenting. Tesla Effect claims this is just another spam post, but It's actually a point I'm making. I did not see any other post regarding this matter.

Does everyone have to know everyone else in this world?

Or they could just be releasing champions with lore filled with blanks so they can fill it in later when they figure out what direction they actually want to go with the story of the game.

You know you can play the game without this lore thingy, right?

I don't mind champions that don't have any major connections with others yet at the time of release but I also hope they grab the opportunity to bring some familiar names from the lore to the rift when they see one. Like what they did with Lissandra

There are a huge amount of ways that we can have Ekko grow beyond his current isolation. His own desires and needs, or those of other Champions or non-game characters, will be the motivating factors for his story going forward. It's why we changed the world the way we did, we didn't want the IoW to be the answer.

I don't want to spoil anything or pitch anything we don't end up doing, but consider where Ekko is, who else might be around, and what they might want that comes into conflict with Ekko (or even support of him) and you can probably think of half a dozen reasons at least. We want to explore those possibilities.

It seems like they won't do it in intro stories, but that they want to do it in subsequent stories... Well, assuming those subsequent stories happen, which according to Jaredan they are. (Although no time line was given.) It kind of sucks to have to sit and wait, but it seems the intent is there at least. Two narrative Rioters started posting on the boards yesterday- so maybe this is the beginning of a new era of communication or something. A sign at least that things could get better. (Since for awhile people were wondering is narrative actually existed.)

Actually Yasuo suspects Riven because she uses wind techniques, the same ones that could have killed his master. Though Ao Shin (who was delayed because riot felt they couldn't do him justice at the time) is thought to be the true villian that murdered yasuo's master. Ekko was connected to jinx and vi, we know he lives in Zaun, we know Jinx/Vi are from Zaun. We know Ekko hates piltover, and his dislike for vi's role now shows that. His interaction with Jinx also shows that she wasn't always crazy, and something traumatizing probably caused her craziness. The new lore team likes to leave breathing room for the fans to speculate and provide more base lore for champions and interactions. Just thought they didn't deserve all the hate they get when the old lore team didn't do much with lore anyway other than a long bio with 2 pieces of relevant info.

I find alot that the best thing about this type of lore is that I as a player can speculate these things and guess them for myself so I have my own little theories on what might happen or how she might know he and why he might despise he and why they might want to kill them.

But what you're saying is kind of confusing for me to comprehend here, i mean plenty of champs have random interactions, but why are you pointing out that Ekko has some? I mean it seems kinda suspicious Yas's elder gets killed by someone using wind or some shit and Riven constantly does moves that incorporate it, I would be as suspicious as Yas in that place. Characters shouldnt have to only have their knowledge of others described in lore as usually its easy to guess why they know each other in the first place. Thats like asking why does Rumble like Tristana but its not covered in his lore? Because, it doesnt need to be written on a page to be seen, Mech = Tristy, SGR = Makes cute little points to his crush. Why does Gnar know/ are friends with Lulu? Simple, he likes play-mates that will play games with him. It doesnt need to be covered in lore to be exceedingly obvious. I mean, I bet right now you could easily formulate in your head how Ekko knows Vi/Jinx/Cait, Cait & Vi are famous pilties, Ekko hates piltover so he must know about its civilians. I assume there are so many holes in the lore are so players can formulate their own ideas and theories about why this is that and that is this, like me formulating Taric X Ezreal (ship this 24/7.)
