Leona/Lux story idea

We need our two light ladies to join forces at some point for a lore event, and here's how I think it could happen.

Lux is fleeing from Noxus after spying on a meeting between Leblanc and Swain, learning that they plan on killing Jarvan III (J4's father). But her cover is compromised and she is chased by Noxian thugs. She is almost caught when Leona, who is on a pilgrimage, comes across the scene and defends Lux (despite not knowing her). Lux is grateful for Leona's help, but still needs to get back to Demacia. Knowing the road is dangerous, Leona offers to protect Lux on her journey, to which Lux graciously accepts.

Cue an adventure between the two where they end up taking far more time to get back to Demacia than they should have. ;)

Cliche? Or cuteness proximity warning?

I feel like this is too much of "she justs happens to be there, and plot continues", type things that happen way too often in young adult fictions (Which I am extremely sick of as a young adult).

Using the recent Burning Tides event as an example, TF and Graves meeting and exchange, is a better idea of how things happen. You have the overall plot (MF Trying to kill GP), with an underlying plot (TF and Graves), and both of them twist and turn with each other in a way that doesn't crowd the other.

TF didn't just happen to run into Graves, to start their series of events. MF orchestrated their meet up, as a way to lure out Gangplank. They are knotted together, that overlap each other.

To use your Leona and Lux example, you have a line, that intersects another line to form one new line. I know that what you have is just a brainstorm, but Leona being there seems way too much like a "I happened to be here to save the day", instead of a "I was manipulated by the Demacian government due to their encouragement to spread the Solari word near Noxian towns, as a way for Lux to have protection."

But that's just me.

I like the idea. We need some way for us to see all of these people interact with each other. That's what made the original lore interesting, and that's what's making the new lore uninteresting.
