In the Kindred Q&A Jaredan said you should never remove their masks, ever. So presumably something bad is under there.

I'm going to assume the masks work like inhibitors and when they're removed, Lamb and Wolf just absolutely merk whatever is in their path.
Nothing, presumably. Much as if one took off Wolf's mask and he'd lose his eyes / part of his head, Lamb would lose the entirety of her 'face'.
It'd be more apt to say they're the masks themselves. The bodies are just manifestations.
