Is there a Thieves' Guild in Valoran?

If the Elder Scrolls series has shown me anything, it's that thievery can be rather lucrative. Some of our resident Champions have been thieves in the past ( to name a few), but never stuck with it as a lasting occupation, or rather don't give off the vibe of "thief".

Additionally, when thievery gets organized under a guild in a fantasy setting, lots of good stories can result from it. Oblivion and Skyrim set good examples.

Now, this is my opinion, but I think a sort of "Thieves' Guild" in LoL's setting would fit in perfectly. An organization with no allegiance to any city-state or nation, whose job is to relieve the rich and wealthy of their valuables. I can't think of a reason why not to have it.

I cant think of a reason why not to have a purple dragons guide for funding of purple dragons :D

In Tamriel the Thieve's guild has political (most authorities ignore the guild and even support it) and divine (Nocturnal) patronage. Whereas in Runeterra most nations condemn thievery and the thieves have a lot more competition.

Maybe some nations have small groups of thieves, but I doubt that they have as much organisation and influence as the thieves guilds in TES.

If Runeterra's thieves' guild took on a more... shall we say, mercenary approach, they could charge a city state to get the guild to target a rival city/nation. Demacia and Noxus would pay out the nose to steal precious artifacts or political secrets from their rivals, and a guild would be the way to do that.

It's also worth mentioning that the slightly different pirate's guild Gangplank could easily be a thing in Bilgewater, where anti-theft laws are unheard of and the coasts are already full of pirate ships cutting off mainland shipping lines. Hell, the entire city is a thieves' den to begin with; have the guild operate out of it with its patronage.
