Riot thank you for Rakan, seriously

Amidst all the hate riot is getting. I just want to say thank you for making Rakan. Not only did me and my Duo have countless amount of hours of fun ( we got m7 in 2-3 days) but i was the first person to reach 1 million points on him. Grinding on him actually gave me plans for a day rather than just waking up and working.

Before i never played supports, the passive or tanky nature didnt appeal to me, i liked someone fast, nimble and mobile really peaked my interest, and when i first played him i loved it. We rushed from college that day and insta-bought the champs and their skins . I only played Edgy champions like Zed, Talon, Jhin, Varus and Warwick but Rakans loud and donkey like (shrek) personality still resonated with me.

Although i have some beef with the soul patch he has :( , the art, voice acting, lore and gameplay all blend together perfectly to make a perfect champion.

Again, Thanks Riot [slayer-pantheon-thumbs]

Hate?

I completely agree. Best champion in the game. Honestly, Rakan and Xayah were released a little over a year ago but when I think of league I think of them. For some reason they're really iconic!!

I'd like to add my thanks as well. I also main Rakan. I started with Vayne because I liked her story of being a badass hunter who does require some skill to play, but then I wanted to play support and I looked for somebody who is mobile and can do it all - Rakan has heal, shield, cc, and charm. I loved his mobility and speed, he can get out of any danger as long as there is an ally nearby. I fell in love with him instantly, and I also got M7 pretty fast. So, yeah, I agree with you and I love him too. [slayer-jinx-catface]

even though i'm not a fan of his character, its heart warming to see someone enjoys a new character so much. as a support main maybe i should give him a chance?

So far i only play Soraka Sona and Nami , the goodie two shoes of the league :D :D can anyone tell me if he is close to any of these supports? or he is completely different? i never even checked his kit.

Yeah, a good concept making 2 champs that are better or worse depending on the other one being in the game or not :D

one of the most cancerous champions imo

I have the same attachment to Zoe, I always have loved casters with high skill caps. Aurelion was actually my first main! But Zoe takes the cake. She is the embodiment of why I play league. Strictly to have fun. And laugh while I'm doing it. She has a majorly high skill caps and is fun to play. She was my first m7 and my current main. I wanna thank rito for making Zoe, regardless of what others say.

I hope you know that as much fun as you have playing Rakan, that champion is a busted cancerous toxic champion, who oppresses lane, outscales everyone, is impossible to mess up, and can not be punished hard either. His large ammount of mobility give him extreme safety in lane and out of lane, his high utility allows him to just do nothing and farm it out because he'll still be useful mid to late in matchups he can't agress in and his poke and engage allow him to abuse other matchups. In addition to all the danger he brings to the table, he also eats up a lot of the enemy resource. He easily forces out flashes and ults easier than blitzcrank, and he has the excape that thresh, leona, and alistar lack that woul permit them to match his aggro style.

Sure, Rakan is a cool champion, but riot really needs to fix his kit, because he is an incredibly broken peice of shit that makes the game unfun for everyone else

I don't really play rakan, but there's nothing when I go against rakan that's like "wow that's bullshit". He has clear strengths and weaknesses, and he can be played around, but he also has nice potential for outplay. I feel him and pyke are two extremely solid support releases to be honest.

I think the fact that he can use so many keystones effectively should say all there is to be said. So much flexibility, different playstyles, and he is just fun. His character and lines are hilarious. He makes me think of a young Joe Dirt that's actually good looking.

Yeah I must agree with this, I love him and xayah so much. Xayah and Rakan for life

Agreed, Rakan is also one of my favorite supports. I find his personally really likeable, and his playstyle as as a hypermobile support is something I find absolutely brilliant. While I don't think Riot should copy him outright on another champion, I think he sets an example for the vast array of playstyles supports could potentially have. Supporting doesn't have to always mean standing back and healing, or soaking up damage, it can also be about moving quickly around the battlefield to apply key utility and crowd control. I think he's a very well-done champion overall, and I hope to see more champions as fresh as him in the future.

+1 for Rakanye

As a Xayah main I agree (and of course I'm biased due to being a Xayah main). I love pretty much every aspect of the duo, from their kits to their VO interactions. Thanks again Riot for this awesome pair of champs.

Also, you're #3 Rakan MP-wise worldwide - damn, that's impressive. I'm not quite on the global list yet, but I am #4 NA. Sadly we aren't in the same region or I'd say I hope to run into you in games, but still, have fun playing Rakan.
