How does Gnar work with Yordle lore?

Gnar was originally an ancient Yordle who was frozen by Anivia (or someone) for some grand destiny. He woke up, and so far, met up with Rengar. We know that Yordles are immortal or close to it, and they all seem able to talk like Humans. I also don't know how someone who presumably came from the Freljord could wind up near what I assume is the Kumungu Jungle.

Keep in mind that the watchers once ruled over valoran,so Gnar might have been frozen outside of the freljord.

Could've been a jungle kiddo that crossed a watcher and got frozen.

Yeah, it doesn't make much sense anymore. I mean, how could a race that lives thousands of years have a primitive version of itself while regular humans are helping the Watchers take over? The timeline doesn't make sense anymore. And don't tell me he somehow represents the spirit of the Freljord, because isn't that kind of racist against the Freljord? Like, they're nothing but cavemen? Before I felt like I grasped the basic timeline even if I didn't grasp exactly what happened. It's just confusing if nothing else.

Also I think it's implied there was some kind of Ice Age or Pangaea thing going on when Gnar was alive, possibly caused by the Watchers, not sure.
