Why Yorick?

I don't understand why Yorick is such a priority for the champion VU team. His main problems are gameplay related not him being terribly outdated. He has better animations and model than a lot of champions. etc. are far worse.

I'm not joking. There are far worse offenders in terms of outdated models than Yorick. He was released in 2011 after Orianna and Vayne. You can't objectively tell me he needs a visual update more than some champion who have been in the game since release.

Typically when a champion receives a heavy gameplay rework they receive a visual update due to the new animations.

Well, RIOT said in 2012 or 2013 he will get rework, but he hasn't yet. So I am asking if RIOT decided to really rework him this time

Well, RIOT said in 2012 or 2013 he will get rework, but he hasn't yet. So I am asking if RIOT decided to really rework him this time

I think they mentioned something about him earlier this year. But it's still off in the future.

That's what I'm saying. I think they even said what his new abilities will be in 2013 but nothing changed yet

However it is still far off. Poppy will be next,then taric and urgot might come before yorick too. I'd say yorick will be lucky if he gets his rework in 2016.

Shen only gets a gameplay update,while the ones that i mentioned will get large scale VUs and ability reworks,just like the rework that is planned for Yorick.

There'll be probably several smaller reworks between the big ones,thats nothing unusual.

Says who? https://support.riotgames.com/hc/en-us/articles/202294884 The official champion update schedule page only lists him as getting a gameplay update and I only saw comments from rioters who were talking about the gameplay elements of his update.

Huh,didn't know of that.

However such an update would be still considered a smaller one compared to Sion,Poppy,Taric etc. I mean after sion the next big update is poppy and between these 2 there were 8 smaller VUs(ok you could argue about Gangplanks being rather big,but even that one was smaller than that of sion and most likely smaller than that of poppy)

yeah, I actually consider the Shen update pretty interesting in terms of physical appearance

You are not wrong, his model is not actually bad in comparison with other champs like WW, Nunu, or the half of the yordles... but he has 2 problems

He is ugly and almost no one plays with him. (Like Urgot and ex Sion ) The gameplay, which includes models of his ghouls... if you change his gameplay, the ghouls will change as well... if you are going to update the models of the ghouls... why not him as well?

Nunu actually has a new high-res model completed already, but there is no indication as to when he will get the new model implemented, the only thing i know about Nunu at the moment is that a VU for him is on the way
