I think Malzahar would be perfect for a VU, his design is already good and he just needs some updating. His particles are really outdated and look really off in the new art direction. An update like 
had would bring him in line with newer champs.
His partices got updated........... His Q spawns 2 VUed Kassadin Qs. Overall, his particles look similar the updated Kassadin particles. But they didn't inform us about the particles update in the patch notes.
I would like that each champion gets a full VU, with VO. Lord knows when they will update some of the half done VUs with new NO. 
(Their lack of new VO offends me)

Uhh. I'd rather not, after what they did to Nasus. Dunno why they feel the need to change dances and crap.
As a Malzahar main, I think he needs a full rework.
I wouldn't say a VU. I'd say more along the lines of new vfx. Like, what morgana got. His model really isn't bad.
And a nerf..
Sorry but, Silence (3sec), Suppression(2.5sec), DOT, and high damage is a bit much in my opinion.
Kassadin level VU would be perfect for him.
