I'm sad by the lack of Swain mention, but they answered a surprising amount of questions here.

Not sure how I feel about Volibear's answer and Soraka though.

No need to confirm or deny but I'm assuming that Voli is similar to Anivia? The difference being he's more #savage and aligned with Sejuani as a result?

Volibear is a pretty important being in the Freljord, and the Ursine are a well respected and probably more so feared group. You don't mess with the Ursine, and asking for their help generally doesn't go well for anyone. I don't want to go in to too much detail since I really want you guys to see it for yourselves, but it's a big deal with Sejuani got the Ursine's support.

For Soraka I don't know if the direction's been nailed down, but the ways things are trending is that she found her way to Runeterra via Mount Targon, as opposed to having her grove just connected to some place in Ionia for whatever reason. There are many kinds of beings who wander down from the mountain's peak from other places, and they're mentioned a bit in Leona's lore.

She's of Mount Targon in that it's an important place in her history, considering she wouldn't be on Runeterra without it, but she is not a denizen of Mount Targon or a Targonian afaik.

So Mount Targon is like a beacon/waypoint for spirits/supernatural creatures to enter Runeterra?

Like Ionia with magic, will we learn what makes Targon so special?

I actually don't know what about the Mountain makes it work in that it allows for these wanderers to come to Runeterra, but given the ways in which Targon uses it I feel like there's a fairly reasonable conclusion to be drawn about what makes Mount Targon special.

I know jack-diddly squat about what's up with minotaurs, unfortunately. Will look in to that, but can't promise I'll have anything I can report back.

I'm as knowledgable as you about the watchers. That's something I'm definetly gonna have to dig in to soon.

And I dunno, anything specific you had in mind?

Tahm Kench is described as the opposite of Yordles. Is this specific to him, or demons in general?

Do demons have a community like Yordles? A hierarchy?

Why is Shen the only human with a proto-vastayan body (able to cross both the mortal and spirit worlds)?

Are Noxians trying to conquer the entire world, or is there a stopping point?

Anything on barbarians in Freljord? Like Ashe and Sejuani come from specific tribes while Tryndamere feels like he's from a generic tribe. Unless barbarians and Frozen warriors are different from each other?

Is Vilemaw an actual god? If so, where do gods come from and how does he interact with Nagakaborous?

You actually asked me a bunch of questions that I don't know! So with that in mind prepare for some opinions:

In Tahm's case I think he's just not a fan of yordles in general.

I don't know about any kind of demonic hierarchy. They vary in age and place of birth, but I don't think there's any structure to how they function as beings; they're seemingly more self serving than anything.

Not a bloody clue there honestly. Gut reaction tells me he was taught how to do it.

Noxus takes what it wants, but it doesn't conquer what it doesn't need to. It looks for value in these things, since in the end what it conquers has to serve the empire. This is what happens when you build your empire on shit land and have to rely on export to sustain it.

The Freljord has a lot of tribes, but in regards to Tryndamere I'm not sure how the whole barbarian thing fits in. Tryndamere's interesting to me anyway since he's a king in the Freljord, where matriarchy wins out, though beyond that I dunno.

I wouldn't have pegged Vilemaw as more of or less of a god than some of the resident champions we've got, though it just depends on how you look at it. As Illaoi says "There are kind and gentle gods. Mine isn't one of those." I know that's not a great answer, but just think about champions that might be considered gods: Janna, Anivia, Aurelion Sol. All immensely powerful. True gods? Does it really matter? In the end they all pale in comparison to something or someone else. I mean really, whose gonna hold a candle to Bard?

On the Nagakabouros point; not a bloody clue.

Are all Void champions named by Shurimans? Are there any beyond Shurima, where someone may refer to them with a different name?

Might as well just ask and I'll see where the boundaries lie.

There have been void rifts in places other than Icathia, so other cultures have had encountered with voidborn before and thus named them. Shurima's history with the Void's probably a bit more extensive though, hence why they went about naming the different species. I'd imagine in a place like Demacia they just look at a voidborn and are like "blegh, they're all the same, just varying levels of scary".

So tl;dr, other regions probably have different names for voidborn, but Shurima's more extensive naming of individual species is probably not so common in other cultures.

Any explanation on how Yordles became so technologically advanced despite their magical origins?

Is there any new reason why Veigar is so evil, or Rumble's dislike of humans?

I get Trolls are trolls, but what makes them different from the other races?

I know I'll already answer my question, but are there multiple spirits of one type, like Janna and Skaarl, or is there one of each element, idea, etc.?

Yordles are a subject I probably can't discuss until actual live content for them is looming unfortunately. NO YORDLE QUESTIONS PLEASE THANK YOU

But for Veigar and Rumble specifically, I would've said that Veigar is the embodiment of the human ideal version of evil, so almost a caricature of it. Rumble I pegged as seeing yordles who go out and interact with humans as forsaking their own culture and heritage, all for very little appreciation by humans since few of them can actually see their true forms. That's just personal theory there though.

Not sure on trolls honestly. In the Freljord it's interesting since Trundle implies frost trolls can use true ice, which is something only iceborn can do. Beyond the Freljord I don't even know if trolls exist, so apologies there. I'm gonna have to enquire about that for the sake of the Sharjonic Archive.

I think it depends on their origin. Janna was born from the wishes of men, while Skaarl's a kind of spirit (a drakalops) and afaik she's not the only one to exist. Skaarl is fairly unique though since she sort of embodies Noxian culture and to a degree Kled. In regards to being of elements; both Janna and Skaarl are wind spirits, but one born on the oceans and one born in the deserts of Valoran.

On another note I like how this became a lore Q&A thread not specifically about the actual content of the post, but by my responses!

Kinda cut out of context, but I couldn't find where the question asking started. Is there anything planned for noxus, specifically leblanc? I mean all the noxian champions covered in mystery, what are their motives? How important leblanc's figure in noxus? Is there a conflict between swain and house decouteau? So many questions

Targon is probably the most confusing notable region in League lore so far. So many questions...

Still confused about that fact that Leona and Diana's aspects represent tangible entities in space while Pantheon's aspect represents an event that happens. Taric's aspect is just a entity that protects life.

have you read Taric story in full? i think that story alone shows why mount targon is so special or aurelion sol lore. every champion from that area has some sort of shrouded mystery in the lore! it makes vastayan looks like simple magic tricks!

I'm fascinated by Volibear's being.

Seems similar to Loa from World of Warcraft. Perhaps an ancient Ursine ancestor that was so powerful in life he transcended death and became a part of Freljord's spirit world.

Volibears answer sounds a bit like he is kind of the opposite to Anivia Both are spirits of the freljord,but they chose to ally themselves with different sides.

Since Swain wasn't mentioned as having vastayan blood I'd imagine that he might have used it in a ritual(or that beatrice is related to the vastaya)

How do the Vastaya and the Vastayashai'rei differ in appearance? Like, what exactly are the Vastayashai'rei? And how does their appearance and morph ability change down the evolution tree, shown in the "evolution of vastaya" image?
