Hextech Sion doesn't look very "hextechy"
Is it just me, or do you also have this feeling?

Likely because they didn't have a real vision for how hextech skins are supposed to look like when Sion was reworked. That only started with the release of hextech annie.
He looks more like a Frankenstein's monster.
Yeah, Hextech Singed is in the same boat as well (09:35):
Hextech Janna and Anivia are pretty outdated too, but at least they're steampunk-themed unlike Singed and Sion. It's kinda sad because Sion already got his full VGU a while back so it's unlikely the skin will be upgraded to the modern aesthetic. :-(
Yh, it is nowhere as themed as the other/newer hextech skins, but think of it as: what if sion was re-animated with hextech. And it makes sense, as well it has a unique look that it brings to the skin line. Plus he already has mecha zero sion as his robo skin.
He may just need a texture change, but with his new splash for it released not long ago, that could be difficult to adjust too.
Hextech Sion textures are low resolution, some of them are reused from previous skin (isn't it easier to create new texture or repaint them in a program like Substance Painter)
Im just hoping they make his energy color neon pink, to fit his splash. It would be a nice complement of menacing and lightheartedness the skin already has.
