Anyone Else Ready to see Shurima's Story Move Forward?

So maybe its not top priority, but theres a lot going on there... Anything y'all find interesting?

I find Taliyah interesting... Id love to see her ascend and challenge Azir and Xerath for control.

What about Cass? No doubt Noxus seeks to control the world... What about Aatrox and Varus? Who Will no doubt make their way back eventually.

Will Sivir come to some kind of awakening? And what of the void? Whatever they're planning os gonna affect Shurima first... Will Rek'sai and her underlings spread further? Will Kaisa or Kassadin be able to stop it? Omg omg... What of there is a plot twist where Kaisa isnt really his daughter... And dont even get me started on Icathia.

Come friends, share predictions, hopes, thoughts, feels, etc.

I agree with you that Shurima's arc should be moved forward but

I find Taliyah interesting... Id love to see her ascend and challenge Azir and Xerath for control.

That would be bad writing and BS ngl.

  1. She doesn't have the power to chalange them
  2. She has no reason why she would want control
  3. Making her Ascend would disconect many of her fans and would p much be a deus ex machina

Would also be nice to know what Aatrox is doing currently. Right now we only know he massacred Tryndamere's tribe and is probably still roaming the Freljord.

I'm most interested to see Pantheon become involved in Shuriman lore, many speculate that the Ascended he faced in his color story was Xerath. Personally I dislike this development and hope it not to be the case, because it means Pantheon's story is locked until Riot decides to progress Xerath's story or that Pantheon's next story will mention him being defeated off-screen by Xerath.

Nonetheless given Pantheon's new lore he is bound to become involved in the battle for Shurima with the return of the Ascended and Darkin: Azir Nasus Renekton Xerath Varus Aatrox

I hope there is an interaction between Pantheon and Sivir as they are both humans wielding god weapons (however Panth is a demi-god) and if Sivir is to become the empress of Shurima, I think he will side with her.

On the topic of the future emperor of Shurima, potential candidates are: Obviously Sivir and Azir, however I think there is potential for Taliyah as well, given appropriate character development. There is also the possibility of Shurima remaining a conglomerate nation, made up the unified tribes.

Honestly, what I find really sad, is that I don't want to see Shurima story move forward because I feel like there is way too much Shurima stuff and things that have been tied to it... It's completely a me thing too; it's not really rito or their writers faults, its just that Shurima is fine but I like the void and the original darkin better and kinda wish they weren't so tied to Shurima… It's like I resent Shurima for stealing my favorite things and that's completely ridiculous... but I still don't want more Shurima stuff... XD

It is only a matter of time until Xerath begins his full assault on Azir and the recently uplifted Shuriman capital. What he is doing right now is gathering his power before he makes his move; evidently, Atreus will not be enough to postpone his campaign for much longer.

Azir has been dead for rather some time, and Ascension has most definitely altered his understanding of the world. I expect no tearful reunions with his former comrades, and no mercy towards the Noxian occupants, or the Void scourge.

Kassadin, Kai'Sa, and Malzahar have their own story happening. The Void itself is the same as it ever was, and it remains a threat to the continent of Shurima as much as it does the entire world. However, the tunnels Rek'Sai has been burrowing implicate a certain purpose, which will no doubt disrupt the already tenuous "peace" the Shurimans are currently enjoying.

Taliyah won't do very much, I'm afraid. Sivir is destined for Ascension, being the blood of Azir. However, I don't think she will take his throne unless he dies a tragic and oh-so-predictable death. Nevertheless, they will both have a role to play.

Now, of course a massive empire with a rich history should have its story finally be touched upon again. You have the fallen Ascended, possible Darkin and Targonian interaction, horrors from Icathia, more information on Ixtal, Noxian interference, and Zilean, who is Zilean. And yet, somehow, I suspect we will be getting more Ionia, instead. You can never have too many half-Vastaya, correct?

My one wish is for Zilean to some how pull Ekko into Shurima because "time magic" just so he can meet Tahliyah and help her save Shurima.

With the upcoming Guardian of the Sands skins it could totally have been a great time to have some more Shurima lore but doubtful they will do that.

Honestly, I would prefer if other Regions got an update before Shurima. Bandle City and Bilgewater are both extremely outdated (and don't tell me that Pyke added anything to Bilgewaters' story) and time wise, they should be updated first

Chembaron Yamada12/31/2019, 2:55:30 PM1 votes

Personally, I think everything should first get updated so we have the whole picture before moving any story plots forward. There are still alot of holes in the universe.

Bandle City didn't get the expected update with Yuumi's release. Twitch and Singed were left out in the Zaun lore update, also we could use further information about chemtech in general.

Not sure if they had Zoe conceptualized at time they released Azir but now they'll have to integrate that for sure. Zoe hates the ascended/darkin or simply just wants to get rid of them so she might want to get involved when it comes to stopping Azir.
