So...going out on a limb here: What if Aatrox is a demonized Darkin?

So in one thread someone brought up Aatrox relating to Tahm and this horned demon in being a representation of some of the seven deadly sins (Tahm being gluttony/greed (can't remember) and the horned one being Lust which empowers Vayne's own sadistic pleasure).

Aatrox however is a Darkin and Riot wants to make more Darkin. But what if Aatrox is not simply a Darkin? What if Aatrox is the result of being corrupted by a demon, mutating him into something else beyond his winged form? Kind of like Nightmare Tryndamere?

What if Aatrox is the current host/user of the demon of wrath? And Tryndamere is another in a long line of new warriors that become drawn to the demon to challenge its user for the right to become the next one?

TLDR: What if Aatrox's sword is the demon of wrath and it's the reason he's become what he is? Potentially even the cause of the near extinction of the Darkin race?

Tahm is talking to the sword!

Tahm is talking to the sword!

I thought that was kind of obvious. Aatrox's title is "The Darkin Blade". And, if you've ever used his dance, you can see that his sword has a life separate of Aatrox's. Not to mention, if you look at his model, it has a very corrupted feel, with his left hand being much lighter, as well as the lack of symmetry on the sides of his body.

I've seen this theory before.

It can be possible, but I'd really like Riot to delve into Aatrox's lore to clarify things like this.

I doubt it tbh. Aatrox has been around through recorded history as the same thing as he is now.

My own theory here, but Riot stated there were (5?) total Darkin, What if Darkin are actually like High Demons, basically above everything else, essentially being their own race of demons.

Riot says we have knowledge of two of them (before Vayne lore) so in all possibility, Tahm could be one. Though unlikely.

Would love 7 deadly sins theme though.

So basically ur saying that Aatrox is a Darkin, but normal Darkin's don't look exactly the way Aatrox does because Aatrox is corrupted by energy/entity of the sword he uses.

I don't think Tahm is a Darkin

But I think there is a possibility that the entity that killed Vayne's parents could be Darkin

However I don't think we should assume that the Darkins are going to follow any convention of being related to the seven deadly sins or anything like it.
