Taliyahs kit. What abilities I predict her to have when released. (Based on the short story teaser.)

Now before I begin, this is all just speculation and Riot has not released her kit yet nor do I pretend to know what her kit is. This is simply how I see her kit being based on what we know she's done in the teaser.

The first thing she done is warm the stones in her pockets for warmth, though I do not know exactly how this would translate into an ability. She also does this with larger stones to warm up a cave. Perhaps it will be a healing ability?

The second things she's done is crate a stone blockade to protect herself from the avalanche.

She desperately focused, pulling on the rough edges of the visible rock. A row of thick columns sprang from the ground. The stone blockade reached far over her head just as the crushing white avalanche slammed into it with a heavy whumpf.

This I think will translate to her being able to make a temporary wall in game, similar to Anivia's ice wall. However I would prefer something along the lines of a curved wall. One that was sloped on one side, allowing you to quickly run over it like a ramp. This would allow you to create a wall stopping enemy progression, but still allow you to go over it to reach the enemy. It's not the coolest thing, but it's more interesting than a simple wall.

The third thing she's done is use stone to lift someone into the air.

The crust of ice erupted in front of her, quickly followed by a towering ribbon of granite balancing a lone figure.

She does this a second time later in the story.

"Get away from him!" Taliyah pulled at the cobbled floor of the inn, the flat stones erupting, lifting the captain off his feet.

As the captain's body was knocked up, Yasuo was there to meet it, the cold blade cutting through the captain's chest in three quick strikes. The body fell to the floor and was still.

To me this says she will have a knock up, which for obvious reasons will give her a great deal of synergy with Yasuo.

In all likely hood the knock up will be a stone pillar erupting under a champion and sending them into the air.

The forth thing she does is use the earth for transportation at increased speeds, similar to how Toph travels on land quickly when by herself in the Avatar, series.

The rock beneath the inn burst in great, rounded arcs. Stone columns threaded themselves in and out of the ground like a wave.

We also see her actually doing this in the splash art that came with the teaser.

This I think will be a movement based ability, (obviously) that if it's her ult, will likely knock people aside as she charges forward. If not her ult, then it may simply be short to medium ranged dash.

Welp that's what I think anyway. What do you think she will have in her kit when she's released?

Also before anyone goes and comments on it, Yes I know that personality wise and also her situation or far more like Terra's than Toph. However how she uses her powers is more in line with Toph than with Terra. Taliyah is kinda a mix of the two, and people really shouldn't be saying she's one or the other. That's just what I think on that matter.

But anyway how do you feel her kit will turn out? What do you imagine it to be?

Personally I'm excited that we are getting a super powered human who isn't an aspect or mage!

I predict a mobility spell that moves her away on rolling roils of rock. (Seems to be pretty obvious.)

A knockup similar to a Poppy/Malphite Ult. (From the way it's described in the story, that's how I imagine it will feel.)

An AoE burst similar to Malphite's E, but probably more painful. (There are several point in the story wherein she causes great perturbations in the ground around her. First in training and then in the fight with Yasuo against the guards. That is why I think an AoE Ability, probably with some CC, is going to be there.)

And probably some sort of defensive ability that blocks damage or saves allies. For this one, I'm actually imagining something closer to a Braum shield that is immobile, like Anivia's wall. Anivia's wall doesn't block skillshots. I would be surprised if this was an Anivia wall that blocked one skillshot and then broke.

I also think it would be appropriate for the new 'grounded' debuff to appear in her kit. It would provide a means of disabling escapes, while simultaneously making her feel like the sort of champion she seems to be in the lore, a CC heavy bruiser earth-bender-themed mage/support that is definitely scary when on top of you.

Then of course, there's always the possibility that this was just lore, and had nothing to do with a new character, but I doubt it. That wouldn't be a monetarily appropriate decision.

Im really hoping for a new ranged support.

Based on the use of the sling shot in the story, I say it might be her auto attacks or a basic ability. I'm leaning towards it being her autos since she doesn't seem to any melee fighting ability nor does she have any melee weapons like Ekko or Yasuo.

She-- Uh. She's a mage, definitely, friend. x] Mages in RuneTerra tend to naturally have their powers!
