A Superb Villain3 votesWell, Ivern's is basically a violent man being reformed into a guardian of the forest and spreading compassion and understanding, nonviolently, wherever he goes. Bard is pretty much the embodiment of a cross-universal protection agency.
Warlord Dienekes1 votesEh, I'd maybe argue against Bard. Ivern totally fits, but Bard is a strange cosmic being that's motivations are alien to us. So alien that according to a Rioter he doesn't save people for people but for the change in history of their descendants. And since we don't see his endgame he just seems some cosmic question mark rather than being good or bad or showing anything worth fighting for.
Fasmodey2 votesJust because of how we read terrible things in lore, It does not mean it is like this in all places of Runeterra. Most of lore is about backgrounds, which actually the interesting parts. It is like how mages are actually pretty damn rare in Runeterra but we see a lot of them in gameplay. Ordinary and peaciful lore is not interesting. It always needs conflict.
Also, also, among the big, well-known universe, there is no darker one than Warhammer 40k IMO. This shit is full of terror.
