@Narrative Team, please tell me Naut's short bio is just how the world sees him

And NOT who he actually is.

Don't tell me you retconned the Sailor who was abandoned by his crew Who was sent to the abyss as they let him sink with the anchor he now carries around To be corrupted by whatever darkness lurks in the ocean's depths

Only to wander the ocean in search of those who left him to die

I always liked Nautilus as a man who only had revenge left but still had the capacity for good, as seen by him standing against the Harrowing. His past life may be gone and those who wronged him are probably long dead, give Nautilus a chance for redemption, to find a new purpose and not just be some Submarine Boogieman.

From what I took from that short bio is that the possibility of being wronged by his crew mates could still be a thing, but it was Nagakabouros that intervened as Nautilus sank with that anchor. What the dark corruption of the depths actually was could have been her aura, choosing to spare Nautilus of this death by giving him a new purpose. Allowing him to get his revenge on those who wronged him, but only by becoming an agent of the Bearded Lady. Sinking and dragging the ships and crew of sailors who have wronged others to the depths of the ocean. Since he's become an extension of her, it would still allow him to do good like fending off the Harrowing.

It’s the same story, but the time table is moved forward. When I think of Nautilus I think of a hulking creature roaming the depths. It’s a lot more interesting to me than the 50th tragic story. If Riot keeps the whole betrayal thing then at least give me a reason to care about Nautilus before he was betrayed.

Regardless of quality of the lore. Anyone else think that it’s just odd that an animate deep sea diving harness. A thing that wasn’t even invented until the 1800s is supposedly from time immemorial?

Perhaps it was Nagakabourous that wants to give Nautilus his redemption and revenge, in turn using him at the same time as a herald of the god's wrath.

I hope so, because there's certainly room for both giving what we have of his new lore so far.

That's ofc how the ppl see him, it reminds of a lot of mariners' tales.

I agree. I htoguht it was pretty fucking cool that they had him fight against the Shadow Isles. I imagine him saying,

"Yeah, they'd eventually kill those bastards that left me for dead, BUT I WANT TO KILL THEM!" and thus he fought for good despite no one even knowing so. They just saw this menacing giant duking it out with ghosts and said "As long as he isn't killing us, it's cool."

I get it that Rito is making this League of Legends be filled with actual legends but mortals can be legendary on their own.

Look no further then the guy who fled to South Korea. Dude had balls, probably the biggest balls in all of North Korea. Took 5 shots and still kept on running.

With this new Nuat he's actually just a monster. The void is literally a hellish alternate reality full of monsters, don't you guys think we have enough of them?

I was honestly hoping Nuat would get a connection to Illoai's god, but nothing.

I hope they don't retcon it. I really want to know what were they investigating.
