@Jaredan: A compromise on this whole map thing

Give us a map.

When a location has already been fleshed out by post-retcon stories, put that on the map, in glorious detail.

Where an area is still vague and undecided, put that on the map, in a decidedly vague and undecided (mockup / sketch) way. Leave out the exact borders of countries, just put in their names so we have some idea of different locations' proximities to one another. Unless that has not yet been ironed out?

This leaves the map vague enough that you can manipulate it if you come up with some really cool story, and simultaneously gives the community a way to create stories that at least somewhat make sense.

Why is everyone so impatient?

I would say

Who needs a map? Ezreal

but that'll just summon Bio for story time.

Gonna comment Jaredan? Or are you just going to take the standard RIot approach of not responding to lore threads unless it furthers Riot's current agenda?

I like this idea, but it implies that Riot already knows the general locations/positions of countries and cities when they may not yet. For all we know, Riot is focusing on fleshing out factions and geographical locations without actually looking at things from a worldview standpoint - meaning that THEY don't even have a map. Patience, friend. We'll get one soon enough.

And at any rate, who needs a map? Ezreal

Releasing material in an unfinished state is probably a bad idea for a well established company.

There are standards of quality that you have to meet.
