Can this year's "Lore Patch" be about the Mount Targon scene?

Last year we had Shurima, but this year I want to see things happening in Leona's stretch of the woods. There's not enough going on there. Heck, we don't even know if Leona's actually gone out looking for Diana or is staying at home repairing the damage!

Mt. Targon needs a more defined identity, for sure. All we know about it is:

  • It's a mountain around the center of Valoran (don't know if it will stay this way due to a lack of an UPDATED MAP).Also,it's apparently the highest mountain in Valoran.
  • It's (assuming) main tribe are the Rakkor,a tribe of war-loving,Spartan copies.
  • Then we have a portion of the Rakkor that forms the Solari tribe,a tribe of who gave up war-loving to become sun worshipers.
  • And finally there's the Lunari tribe, that's a bunch of moon worshipers.

That's it. Not much a of a single identity that defines Mt. Targon.Yes,the 3 champs from there have a strong identity, but the region is lacking. Look at some of the other regions.Demacia's main identity is justice & honor,Noxus's main identity is survival of the fittest,Ionia's main identity is balance & so forth.Mt. Targon needs something that ties it's champs together while giving it an identity in Valoran. What that identity should be is an important question? To answer this question,we should understand the core concepts of Mt. Targon & it's champs. We wouldn't want the new identity to negatively affect or change the core aspects of Pantheon Leona Diana & Mt. Targon got no core aspects to affect.

Jarderan has stated that the old map of Valoran is no longer canon so who knows where Mount Targon is now, maybe it is actually south from Shurima as seen on the pendant. Anything is possible. Look at Bilgewater, Freljord, Shadow Isles, and Piltover, they got new looks and geographical locations and shapes. So the Visual appearance of a location will most definitely gonna be changed, that im sure of.

I dont know how much a skin preview will matter in this case, but the Dragonslayer ones showcased a village that could potentially be Mount Targon related. It has similar Greek like architecture you would find if it was somewhere in the Mountainous region.

I would be behind you, but I don't trust Narrative. Gut feeling says some awesome champs would be utterly gutted.

Some of your posts do actually earn downvotes, so someone probably came along and didn't bother to read what you wrote before deciding. I'll gladly upvote for Mount Targon though.

Can we not?

These massive retcons are shit.

I think Targon could need some more champs before it gets an event like this. I mean currently we have only 3 champs from the place and all 3 belong to different groups.

So an event would most likely introduce a new champ(most likely a member of the rakkor or the solari),but this new champ would most likely only connect to 1 or 2 other champs, which isn't really much compared to the effect that Azir(who is connected to Xerath,Sivir,Cassiopeia,Nasus&Renekton) and Lissandra(who is connected to Ashe, sejuani,Anivia,Trundle,Udyr and most likely Brand too) had on other champs.

While I'd like a whole Mount Targon thing I feel like Targon's not the only place that needs fleshed out or just needs an event to kinda adjust things for the new Runeterra. Ionia, Bilgewater and Bandle City come to mind as primary candidates.
