Kumungu Jungle still exist?

I feel like it would be a real missed opportunity if RIOT just Retconned it to nonexistence since I feel like it would be an awesome new faction, smaller than the others but in the jungle size matters little, I remember once seeing a post asking RIOT to consider making it more important faction with a Mayan feel and I am going to be honest that to me sounds like an awesome idea, since really is Aztec and Mayan shown in video games, with many other publishers preafering to go for more classic European and Asian asthetic, I feel like it would open a whole new door to depth with it showing varius diffrent Culture and adaptability in it.

I really feel RIOT should take some time to explore this option and use it, since I feel like it would add a great addition to the world of Runeterra.

I’d picture the kumungu jungle as this great big super ecosystem with different forestry landscapes and home to a mix of jungle cultures (primarily based on mesoamerican with some examples of native American and Central African) and full of the most dangerous fauna and flora on the planet. But I imagine riot will have to update all its current regions before it even considers adding new regions but at the pace they’re going with the new lore updates that shouldn’t take more than 2-3 years

As far as i know, it has not been mentioned in the updated lore of any champ.

Overall I would like to see a more tribal faction in the game and the kumungu jungles seem like one of the best choices for that(though the Buhru islands from Illaoi would also fit).

The big question would be where it should be located and I think there'd be 3 possibilities here: 1.Wukong lives in ionia,so they would have their jungles too,but since Wukong left his home I don't see much use in focusing on this jungle.

2.Are the burhu isles,who like I already mentioned also seem kinda tribal from what we've heard.However their champions could just as well count towards Bilgewater(especially since it is implied that GP might visit them in order to gain some allies,thus connecting the 2 places)

3.Would be on the shuriman continent,because going by the old map,the jungle would be located there and we know that Rengar is from there,so unless rengar is now suddenly a desert dweller,there would be a jungle there. And I'd say that the shuriman continent makes the most sense for the kumungu jungles. After all it makes sense for Nidalee to live in the same jungle as Rengar,because she is most certainly a vastayan shapeshifter,one of her parents was a human and the other was a vastaya. And where have we seen a tribe of feline vastaya that live in a jungle?Right with Rengars tribe.

Going even further than this,the jaguar warrior that you suggested could be an actual jaguar vastaya,wearing the remnants of a void creature as a coat instead of the jaguar fur.

Meanwhile this would also fit for Zyras story,as she could try to expand the jungles,making the desert fertile again,while also trying to defend the jungle against invasive void creatures from icathia.
