@riot Can you rename the longsword to be something more suitable?

I've got a feeling that this item 1036 isn't what you guys are riot think it is when you named it.

Historically a longsword is a sword that is about 3'- 3'7" long and it gets its name from the fact that the handle was long enough to be wielded with two hands and generally wasn't used with one hand. Basically it is a slightly longer bastard sword and ADnD got the names wrong forever. I mean it really doesn't make sense that the weakest pure AD item in the game was really a weapon that was held in both hands.

For item 1036 you guys are probably thinking of an Arming (or Knightly) sword, however in context of how little AD it gives, it might be best to call it a short sword.

Just an FYI.

who says it ISN'T that long? You can't really tell what these items actually look like from these tiny icons. Some of the icons are also still quite outdated.

Well, a simple long sword would still pale in comparison to something name-worthy like a Manamune or Infinity Edge
