@Riot, So I was reading your post about the 2016 year of champion design and had a question.

I don't know if this is the right forum, but as most Rioters answer here and most new game material is discussed here, I figured this would be the best board as none really fit the topic of champion design.

Anyways, So I know you want to work on champions who are unique and complex, pushing you to your limits and extending how far you can go with designing a champion, but does that mean you will stop doing simple champions? Take me for example, the champion I want most would be of a superhero archetype character. Not in his lore, but design. Being mobile and able to fly with cool aerodynamics, similar to ASol. Strength like Nasus. Maybe mobility like Yasuo. I'm not asking for their extremes, but similar, yes. Now that type of champion really wouldn't fight under "unique" or "complex" or anything, but do all new champions need to be?

When you created Sol, you created a champion only fit for a few, which you admitted yourselves. Having such a narrowed champion seems to just limit its players. I'm not saying make such a basic champion where it would be at Garens level, but making more of ASol champions wouldn't really fit everyone either. So If people wanted the superhero type champion, would you consider making such a champion, or are you set on making champions who feel different?

Well even a simple concept can be done in unusual ways.

I mean Aurelion sol was pretty much made because riot wanted a chinese dragon in their roster, not because they wanted a star dragon with unusual gameplay. Similarly Ivern is pretty much the druid of the game, which wouldn't be so unsual if he wasn't such a weird tree man as well.
