Why I liked the old Katarina splash art better

This is not an art shaming post! I respect the artist of the new splash art. It is TECHNICALLY amazing! And even fits for Kata's personality better. BUT..... When I was a newcomer and I saw Katarina... http://www.fwallpaper.net/wallpapers/L/E/League-of-Legends-Game-7_1366x768.jpg one of my favourite anime characters came to my mind. http://pm1.narvii.com/5900/62d1cb1178311c21b4b22136dc80f65f212fd157_hq.jpg Katarina's hair on the old splash art looks rather pink instead of red. This is why I liked her because she reminded me Moka. But since the splash art update Moka is gone T_T I don't require any change. I just wanted to share with you my thoughts. :P
