So... who thought that updating the splash for goth annie to be.. /cringe.. "happy".,. was a good idea?? it seems Sooo Wrong...

particularly since if you zoom in to live game model, you can see how she is SUPPOSED to look still; dark and gloomy

Can we please have actually-goth annie back?

edit: here is how the CURRENT annie looks, if you just do a bit of color pallet tweaking. Just goes to show the expression really isnt matching goth:

Am I the only one that likes "playing with black magic is fun!" Annie better?

It's not like the whole "Perky Goth" trope is a thing, or that goths aren't perpetually doomy and gloomy, nope. Heck, honestly she looks more sinister in the new splash art to me. Kind of a "Rise, my creation!!!" vibe going, y'know?

Errrr.... no offense meant, but I think your perceptions are a bit off. I think you're only judging by the dark colors. my beef is with the expression.

it's possible for a picture of someone to be smiling and sinister... but THAT expression currently on "goth annie", looks more appropriate for a new skin, "sunshine and rainbows annie". I'm gonna try to post what I mean, even though my 'shop skills are weak.

hmm...

Nope, I was going by the expression only, as well as what she's actually doing in the splash (imbuing a teddy bear with dark forces of which man was not meant to comprehend). Assuming that was, y'know, what I meant to do, I'd be smiling at that, not grimacing. ...No offense to you either, by the way. People have a lot of opinions on this skin, and I don't think I've ever seen anyone actually convinced into changing theirs 8/
