This splash art is so goddamn amazing. One thing I think I read a while back was that Riot tries to get the splasharts to tell a short story or be like action scenes (think this was to defend the broken spines thing), like a still frame in an animation.

This scene is simply amazing and I can imagine a great fight going on as Vi squashies this first person's head in and dashes off to the next enemy.

Riot artists amazing!!!

Extra Edit: I'd also like to say how much the great splash arts effect me personally. I insta bought Headhunter Caitlyn because I found the splash art truly amazing, although in-game model is, in my opinion, kinda poor. I imagine myself playing the Caitlyn I see in the splash art, and doing everything that I do as Caitlyn being done by the splash art version.

Sometimes I buy skins primarily because of the splashart ... I mean look at this:

Star Guardian Poppy's skin really stood out to me, and I feel like Riot's Art team is only getting better with their splash arts. I can't wait to see what skins they develop next so we can continue seeing great art submissions.

These are some of my favorites too!! (Poppy, ugh. So great. Her eyes!)

Not just the splashes either though, honestly skin in-game quality is going up tremendously it seems! Almost all the particles on the Vi skin make me see some sort of Jade dragon visual and that is SICK, not to mention the new GP skin? Oh man, my boyfriend is a GP main and he's shitting bricks; threw his wallet at his monitor earlier and everything. (Also because we think there may be an Illaoi skin at some point as well to go with it, he mains her also lol.)

I think I'm honestly most impressed with the Heartseeker particles though. The recoil on Lucian's auto attacks and the rose petals on his speed boost are just undeniably perfect touches-- they're outdoing themselves even for the 975 Quinn as well! I don't even play any of these champions (except Vi) and I can appreciate that every single one that's on this new PBE patch is DOPE AF.
